Oy, you're missing the point.BDF wrote:Apparently, while most of us have indeed moved on, a small group (including me and Mickeyfan1990) still clings to this thread.Escapay wrote:I weep for what this thread has become.
This is exactly why I weep for what this thread has become. I rarely post here anymore because I know that even if I do add an entry, only that "small group" will read it, while the majority of readers will skip the thread entirely whenever it gets bumped up, since as far as they know, it's just flooded with two posters who do nothing but make a random listing of some movie franchise or TV episodes, the existing bonus features, and only a scant few new ideas topped with the damn "and much more!"
Seriously, this thread is no longer being used the way it was created to be used (mainly, that it would contain actual discussion as well as the wishful-thinking ideas of many posters, and not just the same lists of TV episodes with a few repetitive features by two or three people). That's not what I wanted this thread to be. It is not meant to be just some half-assed typed up list of X-amount of episodes with the same listings over and over again ("audio commentaries on every episode", "trivia track on every episode", and maybe one documentary...) without actually delving into details such as who's interviewed, who gives the commentaries, what a featurette is about (be it an existing or new one). That's not creative, and it's certainly not fitting the idea of "Ultimate DVD".
I don't want to hear any BS or excuses about how someone can't think of good ideas for what to add. If you can't think of ideas for a set, put it on the backburner until you do have an idea. Don't make a new post every time you think, "Hey, what movie/tv show haven't I not done yet?". Seriously, it's a waste to have this thread bumped up like once a week only to find that the latest post is just another list of 13 episodes from some random show nobody else gives a sh!t about, or just another list of 23 DVDs in a movie series, with the special features jammed into one disc instead of the 10 they originally were on.

I don't like the direction this thread has been going in over the past several pages, and while there have been a few standout entries, most of them are not (IMO), which is why there is little/no discussion. If it continues in this manner, then I'll simply request again what I posted nine months ago...
I still feel the same way now. As the creator of this thread, I have every right to request its movement and/or closure, since I feel that both this thread (and T-SoD's Disney version) has suffered in quality and neither garners any *real* discussion anymore and as such, is not necessary to be in one of the forum that generally calls for discussion.Escapay wrote:My request still stands. This thread really is more of a game now than it is a discussion, so can it (and the Disney version by T-SoD) be moved to Polls & Games?Escapay wrote:Ceej, Aaron, someone...
As of late, this thread really has had little/no discussion and every time it's bumped up, I can't help but utter a sigh of discontent. Could it (and the Ultimate Disney DVD thread) be moved to Polls & Games, since neither garner that much discussion anymore?

But I'll hold off for now, in the vain hope that perhaps someone out there can contribute something that's worth discussing. However, if things continue the way they are, I have not choice but to ask for this thread's movement to Polls & Games.
In the meantime, hoping to get this thread back towards what it used to be...

"Gotham Girls" wasn't include because I don't care much for it and it could easily be a standalone single-disc release.
