Reading IGN's The Nut Job review (3/10) when I read this.

"Especially when Frozen was such a good kid's movie and contained so little celeb casting."

:) :)
:)
They scratched out the "kid's" part.. I am so happy..

Hmm I think I short reprise of 'Do You Want To Build A Snowman' would have worked wonders in the ending scene. And it would be nice for the sisters to have something positive to sing together as well.

I know most were disappointed with the lack of an epic final moment/musical number but I actually like the simple and peaceful ending. It fits well with the story too - everything back to normal and all. The Broadway version will definitely make use of that idea though and I'll love it in that context.

I'm so happy Frozen has eclipsed Tangled at the box office, soundtrack sales, public adoration, awards, etc. I am so tired of seeing Rapunzel everywhere - television commercials, billboards, magazine spreads, backpacks, cereal boxes, t-shirts, dinnerware, my nightmares. Time to take a step back, bitch. You're old news now

In another twist of events, it's no longer listed on The Best Buy Website and the link says it's no longer available..............

I came across this negative review video of Frozen. Unlike say Grace's review, this one comes actually off much more valid and more analytical. I still really like the movie, but I do see their problems.

I wonder, is that from when Elsa was still the villain of the movie.

I saw that review a few months ago..
Look, I respect people's opinions, and if people don't like the movie, I'll be ok with it..
but these guys were being WAY WAY WAY too analytical and critical. Which I guess makes sense since that is what they do, but I just couldn't get behind how critically unnecessary they were being. I'm not gonna go on a bender, hold a sign and march around their house.
Some things that I didn't like:
1) When they are talking about how so many scenes were unnecessary like the trolls and stuff, that just doesn't sound logical to me.
Why show us the scene when they were kids if Anna doesn't remember?
.. Well.. to make us connect and sympathizes with the characters...
What's the point of Elsa hiding her powers from Anna if Anna finds out right away in the movie?
Ok, so are we just going to ignore the time lapse in "Do you wanna build a snowman?"
Why does Elsa run away?
Because she grew up believing that her powers only hurt people, and she doesn't want to hurt people.
Why go to Grand Pabbie when he said that he can't fix a heart?"
A) they didn't know it was the heart. B) Pabbie said that it was harder, but not impossible.

Visual storytelling?
Oh, let's ignore Elsa's presence in the movie.. Her pain is mostly visual!
Also, I thought the whole point of a musical is to express the character's emotions through song. So yeah.. Frozen DID do a good job of making itself a musical!

I hated how they found tangled perfect but frozen bad..

Their review is flawed because they are either trying so hard to not admit that they liked the movie, or they just had really really high expectations! I just found a lot of their "problems" to be forced and illogical....

Who should play Anna?
No idea, but I know someone who should play Olaf, his voice actor, Josh Gad. If they can get Whoopi Goldberg and Dick Van Dyke to reprise their roles as Shenzi and Mr. Dawes, Sr. respectively in the Broadway/LA productions of Lion King and Mary Poppins, why not get Josh to reprise his role as Olaf?

Okay, granted that Whoopi and Dick reprised their respective roles as part of a special limited engagement, but still. :P

I disagree alot that this negative review is a good one.

-Anna wasn't really the main character, both of the girls were, the movie was about them, the sisters, both of the sisters are the lead. They say that Anna was the main and say that Elsa should of been the lead; but they both were the lead.

- Anna wasn't being forced into romantic relationships, she wanted to be with Hans and then she wanted to be with Kristoff

- THEY DID MAKE THE STORY ABOUT THE TWO SISTERS, stop saying that they did not.

- Removing Hans, would be incredibly stupid, he was one of the most interesting about the movie and how he was a refreshing change on the Prince Charming cliche. He didn't add anything to the story ? He was a threat for the two sisters, and he almost ended up killing them both, by being the charming, beloved Prince, who wants a 'evil unbalanced witch ' on the throne ?

Stop saying that Hans should be removed just because you didn't pick up on the subtle hints.

- Olaf does make Anna remember things about the past.

Anna " That's right ! " " Olaf " !

Olaf " and .... youuuu are " ?!

- The Duke was there to make you there to make you think that he was the villain and not Hans; and distract you from being suspicious from Hans, and think that Hans really does love Anna and they're going to walk out happily ever after like old so typical Disney.

Example

Duke " Yeees, that's right, unlock your gates so I can unlock your secerts " !

Duke " DID I SAY THAT OUT LOUD " ? [ camera pans up close, so it looks like he's saying it to the audience]

And then I stopped watching, seriously. Though I do agree that it's better than Grace's from Beyond the Trailer.

Tumblr is freaking out 'cause there's a rumor that Frozen is getting a sequel. Not many sources, though.

http://www.disneydreaming.com/2014/01/1 ... uel-movie/
http://www.fanlala.com/news/disneys-fro ... ing-sequel
http://www.broadwayworld.com/article/Di ... w-20140113
In addition, movie audiences may soon be treated to a sequel of the Nordic-themed saga, following strong sales of licensed toys based on the film. Iger says the "exhilaration" from the studio's success "was profound", particularly after several disappointing animated endeavors released in recent years, including 2009's The Princess and the Frog.
Nice job putting words in his mouth, writer.

But honestly, is a sequel really surprising? Or even a sequel short?

I'd really love a sequel! I think there is so much they could do with it and if they did then hopefully the whole cast would have to return!

It's definitely a stretch to say he "announced" a sequel based on that interview  But it wouldn't surprise me down the line.

There is a lot of potential. Perhaps something with a more traditional villain and Elsa can fully realize her potential as a superhero. There's definitely more room to expand her character. I'd be more worried about Anna and Kristoff being interesting enough for another movie.

Disney bringing back sequels for anything is kind of a scary thought though. It'd probably be something like Olaf as the main character :|

I would not mind seeing a sequel, or a TV series that continues the story. Though one of the downsides with the TV series, is that they probably have to get new voices for some of the characters.

If they decide with a sequel, I hope they take their time with it, and not rush it.

I hope they will go the Tangled Ever After route. Long enough to charm but not long enough to ruin.

Well.. In that case we got it already. :)

I just hope they don't go with Tangled's idea of throwing away the main characters just cause they couldn't afford to bring back the original cast. >__>
