CORRECTION:
- This is Moana's part of "Where You Are"
-Tala's song is the beginning of "I Am Moana"

Wow the music sounds great in those videos! I can definitely hear Lin-Manuel's influence now.
I really like the sound of "Where You Are." It almost sounds like it could be staged like an island version of "Belle."
Really excited to see this.

The songs sound wonderful and can't wait to hear the entire soundtrack once it comes out. In fact, I think this movie might have a chance to stand on it's own two legs against Zootopia come Oscar season.

Thanks for the corrections!

Sorry, I've edited my post to warn about that. But, is it spoilery because they show too much of the Tamatoa scene or because of what Moana says? I can hear she says something about her grandma, but I didn't understand what she exactly says.
I just put a spoiler warning on the reply I wrote to yours!
What
Moana says! I'm surprised that Disney included such a spoilery thing in a promo! I don't mind spoilers, but for people who do, they might not be happy. She says, "Don't, this is my grandma!"
OK, but I'm not sure I understand it yet. Does it mean that she tries to protect her necklace because it's all she has from her grandma and that gives away she has lost her?

I have no idea...I would say that's a question for
disneyprincess11!

That line is not really a spoiler at all except where she gets the necklace. So, this debate is weird

Agreed. I think this is an auditory misunderstanding.
Moana does NOT say,
"Don't, that's my grandma."
She DOES say,
"Don't, that's my grandma's".
Note the
//"GRANDMA'S"// with the possessive s. The line admittedly is hard to hear clearly though, because of all the contractions. But yeah, Moana is only confirming where she got the necklace from, not making a Little Mermaid or Atlantis rehash.

Ooooooh. Yeah, I totally missed the last letter.
Thanks for the clear up!

Yes, thanks
disneyprincess11 and
Warm Regards for clearing it up! Now it all makes sense.
Speaking of the necklace, I noticed that in the
"We Know The Way" clip, the necklace the chief of the tribe has and later gives to who I suppose is his son has the same shell in it that Moana's necklace has. So I suppose it's the same necklace that is passed from one chief to the next in Moana's tribe.
By the way, here's a new clip:

And, I guess most of you already know it by now, but Disney has uploaded "We Know The Way" to Youtube:

To give my thoughts about the songs; Both
Shiny and
You're Welcome were far more catchier than excepted (
Shiny almost sounding a rock song) and
You're Welcome just growing on me. The others were just meh and generic.

Disney's Divinity wrote:Of course he won't. We already saw from TP&TF that he did not take responsibility for his own interference with M&C by forcing them to follow the buddy roadtrip structure and use Newman. He blamed hand-drawn animation, fairy tales, and Randy Newman.
They would've followed the buddy roadtrip structure even if Tangled and Frozen had flopped because, going by everything he's done at Pixar and Disney, it's the only thing Lasseter is capable of doing at all.
(Uh, late reply irrelevant to the thread at whole.)
To be fair, this specific instance was due to the structure of the source material (The Frog Princess).

I like that the review is very positive towards the animation, music, story and characters, but the critic got John Musker and Ron Clements first names mixed up. Whoops!

IGN is very positive giving it an 8.8 rating calling it: Great.

Collider might be a flat out RAVE.

These early reviews have been pretty great, John Musker and Ron Clements might have hit a home run for the first CG Disney film and couldn't be more prouder of them.

Thanks for all the wonderful updates,

I'm particularly interested in concept art so if you find more, please send them my way!

I'm glad you liked them!

Sometimes I think that maybe I'm being a bit annoying for posting all these little things. The things I share are the things I search for me because I'm interested in them, but probably not many people are interested in theatre standees, for example

So I'm glad to hear someone appreciates it. Don't worry, if I find new concept art, I'll post it. I have some now that I haven't posted because I thought it wasn't too important, but maybe some of it interest you.
