No one really answered my question ^^^...........
Can someone tell me if they own both SNOW WHITE PE, and POCAHANTAS 10th ANNIVERSARY EDITION.......if when going over the front of SNOW WHITE DVD/Disc with your fingers a little rough, and when going over POCAHANTAS really smooth. I bought SNOW WHITE from a web-site, and I want to know if I bought a bootleg or not. Do all Disney DVDS have a smooth DISCS, or not? I hope my post makes sence.
If the DVDS have there inserts, and even the coupons can it still be a bootleg?

If I'm not mistaken, this was discussed before.. The older disks are rough in texture, but newer ones are not.

Thanks for answering the question.......I think DISNEY should make copies of their DVDS on a special holligram(sp?) disc, so we get no bootlegers!!

I wish the packaging and disks for Region1 have holograms.

Well, they're just around the hub. Just like the Xbox symbol on Xbox discs.

Well, it got answered by Lightyear , but if you looked at the previous page MICKEYMOUSE, you can also flip your DVD and see if it has a hint of gold on it. :)

Can someone please post a clear picture of the inside packaging, mine looks very different and I suspect it may be a fraudulent DVD

this is a picture from an ebay seller. Looks exactly like the one I bought from Best Buy.

http://i14.ebayimg.com/02/i/04/05/01/60_1_b.JPG

And also contains the Disney coupons for Pooh's Heffalump and that single insert sheet.

Right now, I'm just shocked that someone would actually make a bootleg 2-Disc Pocahontas! (if yours is a bootleg..)

Well, it appears that my luck ordering from Amazon Marketplace has just ended. Several weeks ago I ordered a supposedly brand new Peter Pan Special Edition DVD. I just received it today and it has the following:

1) "DTS Digital Surround Sound" as the top banner on the front of the DVD case.

2) It also has a "DTS 9" circular label underneath the bottom right of the Peter Pan title.

3) The security seal is on the bottom of the disk...not the top as is normally found.

4) On the binder of the case, there is no number printed at the bottom and the DTS symbol is again at the top.

5) The case feels very light in weight...almost like it's empty.

6) There is no Buena Vista stamping on the cellophane.

I haven't opened it yet because my instincts tell me it's fake. Can someone who bought a Peter Pan Special Edition DVD at a retail store let me know if the above description matches what you have or not? I want to make sure before I send an email to the seller.

I hope I can get my money back.

Thanks!
Corey

Though I do not own the movie on DVD as I'm *patiently* waiting for it's 2-disc..;)

I unfortunately have to say that you have a BOOTLEG. :(
The dead giveaway:
"DTS Digital Surround Sound" as the top banner on the front of the DVD case.
On the binder of the case, there is no number printed at the bottom and the DTS symbol is again at the top.

DaveWadding can clarify that you have a bootleg since I know he has a real Peter Pan SE! :)

I don't worry about getting bootlegs with E-Bay, If you do get one and complain to E-Bay they will get your money back, probably get you a new disc, and Prosecute the seller

Can someone tell if this is a bootleg? I'm a bit suspicuous because the person has several copies of 6 different Disney DVD's including this one. I bought all six movies myself so i'm hoping they are authentic.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 1&tc=photo

They looked authentic to me, but i'm hoping that someone with a better eye for these kinds of things can confirm this for me.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help out!

That is the same casing they have at IMDB.com when you look up dvd details. The seller also has good reviews

I wouldn't buy from this person.

I counted 16 Little Mermaid DVD's (NEW) sold by this person in the past 30 days.

I equally noticed the same amount for

Pinnochio
101 Dalmations
Peter Pan
Jungle Book
Lady & The Tramp

I wouldn't trust it personally... Email the seller and ask why she had so many copies of the movies.
