Thanks for that heads up. Has anyone else seen some of the trailers/clips on TV?

The more I see of de aged Flynn in motion the more it falls into uncanny valley for me. I think that will be my main (possibly only) complaint about this movie when all is said and done.

Really? From what I've seen, they did an amazing job with that...he doesn't look CG at all to me...it's really incredible how they did that.

Finally seeing the trailer on different tv shows/networks.

Also started seeing the competition advertising, Yogi Bear. Looks bad but that sort of thing attracks a certain audience, I hope Tron will obliterate that and any other movies that open on that date!

While it's no doubt a solid effort, it just isn't quite there.

I'll gladly admit that in the initial trailer where we were first shown him de aged was completely fooled. In fact, due to my ignorance of this franchise in general I didn't even realize it wasn't just Jeff bridges' normal self. I'm not familiar with him at all, so I didn't know they had to de age him at the time. but now that Ive read about it in the past year or whatever and seen more new footage of it the more I can tell something just ain't right. and its mainly in the mouth deformations I think.

I have a question to the Walt Disney rep - Can you tell us what kind of rating the filmmakers are shooting for? PG or PG-13?

Cheers,

There was just a commercial for a Tron contest on Radio Disney, and it said that it's rated PG.

Hey thanks you beat me too it. Tron is rated PG for a bit of violence and some mild language. Some sites have it labeled, like Fandango and MovieTickets.com.

Also, MySpace is hosting a 21 minute audio sample of the soundtrack. Check it out below. I thought you might enjoy it!

This is the one Disney movie this year that has actually had a great marketing campaign. The ads for some of the other Disney films this years weren't very good. I hope Tron is number one for the weekend, if Yogi Bear beats it, somethings wrong.

Even the ads for Tangled weren't great, especially the early ones. The movie movie was actually much, much better than advertised. I'd see it again, I liked it so much.

Apparently the early reviews are very reminiscent of the first tron...not too much way in actual substance when it comes to the story but the visual presentation is second to none...

I really am going to pay attention as I really thought this would be the "it" movie of the year man do you remember when the trailers started? SO early.

Just picked up my tickets for our brand new IMAX Theater presentation on December 17. Sporting a huge screen and Ultra-modern projection system the Warren IMAX Theater is going to set the bar pretty high for other theaters to meet in their presentations.

Ouch. I'm a bit afraid now for the box office intake. A part of me hopes it'll do better than the box-office tracking is saying right now. The review doesn't surprise me, but I still plan on seeing the film.

I look at the reviews this way:

The first Tron film did not have a deep story, it was pretty basic and it relied on the visuals. That's okay, every film is different.

This new one, I expected a bit more plot but if there isn't well that's okay as well. I've saw the 25 minute sneak preview, I've watched all the trailers and the music video. I like what I've seen. The story seems to be pretty simple, a boy searches for his dad lost in a computer world.

I remember another film with an equally simple premise: Finding Nemo. A guy searches for his son. Simple, familiar story told in a fun way with exciting visuals and engaging charcters. People loved it and it made lots of money.

The attraction of Tron Legacy is the world itself, much like the first film or other films such as Blade Runner. The world as its presented in Blade Runner is the real star of the movie and I think thats what we have here.

Tron Legacy is a big screen event film that will draw the viewer into a crazy 3D video game world unlike anything you've seen before. It doesn't matter if its not Shakespear, its going to be a wild visual ride.
