:o Oh my god!!!!!!!!! I'm so jealous!!!!! I will definitely get over to see it when it opens in New York. I live in the UK, so seeing a lot of Disney on Broadway isn't easy, but we are lucky enough to have Lion King and Mary Poppins over here!!

:D I have a wonderful suprise and just a month till my 18th birthday (this is the most wonderful gift I could have gotten!) I am not sure if this has been posted yet but here is a beautifully recorded demo of one of the NEW songs in The Little Mermaid Broadway musical. I absoultely love it and its called: If Only. The clips added at the start of the clip make me think its set just after Eric meets Ariel on the beach OR its after the dinner scene. Listen to the lyrics and tell me what you think.

To access it, if the link isn't working, just highlight the web address and copy it to your internet searcher- it will link to the site.

Enjoy!

PS: I will see if any other songs are available.
:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

:D Oh. Wow I've been away from this thread for too long.
Thanks for the note about the previous posts. The new songs are absolutely beautiful- I wish the demo cast were the final cast- THEY ROCK! Ursula's new song: Wasting Away is so funny and works perfectly to help tell the audiance her back story and her evil plan- something that was skimmed over in her opening scene from the movie.

Thanks for the wink.

Big day today!!! Ariel has been found!!!!

She's called Sierra Bogess and looks a lot like our favorite little mermaid!!

I'm really excited!! This very talented (just look at the roles she has already played) young lady seems just to be right for this role, and I hope that her voice resembles Jodi Benson's or Kerry Butler's who did the demo songs.

The only thing you did wrong was you forgot the / in the last part, so it would be .

This is very sad news for me, I'm such a big Kerry Butler fan  And she doesn't even look like Ariel

Butler would have made such a better Ariel

I think Sierra Boggess looks a lot like Ariel, but after doing a little research I think that Kerry Butler may be a bit too old for the role.

I don't know why your sig isn't working, but that picture is too big anyway. The maximum height for a signature pic is 100 pixels, while yours is 161 pixels.

Anyway, on-topic. I haven't heard anything from Sierra yet, so I'm curious about her voice. She doesn't look like Ariel, though. Her eyes are too small, which makes her look somewhat bitchy. It might just be that one picture, though.

I think she's very beautiful and looks a lot like the mermaid on the main poster art for the Broadway show. Besides, anyone would be better than Butler.

Ariel'sprince, I thought about what you said and the only other thing I can possibly think of is that maybe you aren't using the forum option. when using most sites that sponsor pictures, there will be different options. i think it's forum 2 but i'm not sure. i know you need to use those to have a picture in a post, im not sure about siggys.

Did Susan Egan really look that much like Belle though? And Terrence Mann is nowhere near as hot as the Beast was at the end.

And Samuel E. Wright looks NOTHING like an animated lion.

I'd prefer Butler than the new girl......

OK, I think you're all getting a little hung up on how much she looks like Ariel. That's not what's important, it's about talent. Clearly she must have a lot of it to be given the opportunity to originate a broadway role. If the show is a success there will be many more actresses playing Ariel over the years, and they won't all look like her. This is a broadway show - not a theme park where a good look-alike is needed.
