Moana 2 is no longer directly competing with Wicked, though the two of them are still playing into Thanksgiving weekend.

I personally feel like Wicked would do better just to fall back to its original Christmas spot. Its only real competition there would be the Mufasa movie, which feels like different enough of a musical that both films could find a reasonable audience.
Unless, of course, that movie ended up eating into like Nosferatu's audience somehow
I wonder if this means Moana 2 will now get IMAX screens

I am curious how this film will do. I don't expect it'll be as big as Inside Out 2 or Frozen 2, but who knows? It has been #1 on streaming... It'll be interesting to see if a record like that actually amounts to much of a plus at the box office or not. Even without streaming, the original managed 600 million, so I would at least expect somewhere in the 800 million to a billion range for a sequel since it's popular, but with it having done so well on streaming, who knows. But I think all in all streaming hasn't turned out to be all it's cracked up to be.

You know, regarding Moana`s little sister, Simea: If the sequel takes place three years after it`s predecessor, her age doesn`t really add up with the timeline. Moana`s sister looks apparently older than her age should`ve been between the years. Unless if she happens to be a long lost sister who`s older

Maybe it starts 3 years later telling us what hapenned after the first movie and after that the movie starts a few years later with Moana's sister older and with the new adventure.

I think I realize what bothers me about Moana's redesign. Maybe it's just me, but it seems that she may have had injection to her lips and cheeks.

Thanks for posting those new pictures, guys

I especially like the second picture with Moana posing with Maui with her arms crossed. She looks graceful, feminine and beautiful.

It feels kind of weird, seeing Pua with teeth now. I know that it takes place years after the first movie, but... yeah.

What about the blond lock Moana's sister has? It looks really bad

Are we sure Pua didn't already have teeth before? Have we seen an angle that would show them? I mean, we already know she has bottom teeth, its just the upper ones we never saw I guess. but since she does have lower teeth, it would be odd if she didn't have upper ones too.

That’s not Moana’s sister.

What a lovely poster. Despite how Moana looks a little off-model.

She looks really off-model, like she's a doll instead of a character. The 3/4 angle of her face makes the anatomy look weird. It would have looked better if she was on profile.

I am glad I’m not the only one who thought she looked off-model…
