Made it our Thanksgiving movie, and I loved it. I also loved the references to the other movies, especially one in particular to the first film (I was the only person laughing in the theaters at the reference, I guess I was the only one that got it).
Also loved the Toy Story short, it was just plain fun.
Great experience, perfect choice for a Thanksgiving movie. And double points for DMR because it's opening week, can't complain about that! Now if only there were a double points day period...

Roger Ebert's review:
http://rogerebert.suntimes.com/apps/pbc ... /111129993
As for me, I loved the film! Also be on the look out for (SPOILER!!!)
Mad, Mad, Mooney's from The Muppet Movie! It evens draws callback to the film with Sweetums trying to catch up with the gang!
I give this movie an "A" and the Toy Story short an "A+".

Sadly, I won't be able to see this until Monday or Tuesday, due to lack of cash....those M&M wrappers that say you can win prizes has been giving me a lot of those $3 off a ticket coupons. About every one of them I enter gives me a coupon prize. And since during a normal weekday AMC has their movies (not in 3D) for only $4 ($7 for 3D) So as much as I want to go see it tomorrow, I'll be waiting until Monday or Tuesday.
Here's what I'm talking about with the $3 off a ticket thing. About every wrapper I've entered gives me a win...maybe I'm extremely too lucky, who knows...

One thing that the new movie lacked were some Hare Krishna jokes.

Saw the movie & loved it! 'Man or Muppet' was hands-down my favorite part....that & "Say hello to my little friend!" --torches contents of fridge--

On Wikipedia for Hare Krishna it says this:
In the Muppet Movie a running gag entailed one character saying they were lost and the other saying "maybe you should try Hare Krishna."
In the parts where they were "traveling by map", if they stated they were lost, would've been great to have a Hare Krishna joke and a nod to the original movie.

Was just watching the original last night and I like the one where the camera is on the church where Electric Mayhem are practicing and the sign outside says "Lost? Go in and see Rev. Harry Krishna" or something like that.

This movie makes me very happy. It's good to have the muppets back.

Absolutely loved this movie. It starts off a little slow and takes about 15 minutes or so to get to what the movie is going to be about, but then hang on to your chairs, this movie rocks. The music in fantastic and Jason Segel has written a great script and the Muppets shine, as usual. I sorted thought it was a little too short, but that could be just me.

Some members over at Blu-ray.com are reporting already that we can expect to see the Blu-ray release of "The Muppets" on 3/28/11. I hope Deleted Scenes are included because a lot of cameos were cut apparently (I know the one with Wanda Sykes and Danny Trejo was)...

I hope Disney gets their act together and release the other Muppet movies on Blu-Ray too.

I guess it would have been a good nod, but it's one of the most dated jokes in the original movie to me.

Saw the 3:00 showing on Black Friday. Just a great, refreshing movie full of Muppety laughter. I liked Walter, such a true and sincere character, very much like Kermit. He reminded me of my Grandfather (still living) who's shares the same name and same talent.

Blu-ray.com just listed this on their website.
http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Disneys-T ... ray/34217/
It's supposed to include "The Muppet Movie", "The Great Muppet Caper", "The Muppet Christmas Carol", "Muppet Treasure Island", "The Muppets' Wizard of Oz", and "The Muppets". I hope Disney does individual releases on this one, although I'm sure they'll pull a "The Lion King Trilogy" on this and only release them together. I would rather not buy "The Muppets' Wizard of Oz", but whatever...

Argh, I just bought Christmas Carol and Treasure Island! Well, at least they paid for the movie tickets and I got rewards points.

I saw this today and really really enjoyed it. I think the last Muppets film I saw was either Treasure Island or Christmas Carol, but it was quite a long time ago. I really liked The Muppets and I'm definitely planning on getting the film on Blu-ray (and maybe even the 6 film collection).

This isn't really about the movie, but does anyone else not like that "Walt Disney Pictures" has been changed to "Disney"?
