wish they'd already confirm whether Santino is returning.

I wonder if they'll try to establish a backstory for Elsa and her powers. I know they came up with something on twitter, but I always felt the movie should have had an explanation.D82 wrote:Frozen 2 will change how you think of the first movie

It would be interesting if they explored that in the sequel, and I think it's quite likely they'll do it. Her powers were very important in the first movie, so I guess they'll have an important role in the sequel too. By the way, what did they come up with on Twitter?JeanGreyForever wrote:I wonder if they'll try to establish a backstory for Elsa and her powers. I'm sorry, I seem to always miss your responses to my posts.D82 wrote:It would be interesting if they explored that in the sequel, and I think it's quite likely they'll do it. The holiday special is set for the end of this year. So far they've had something every two years (2013, 2015, 2017) so this might be the last short until the sequel unless they plan an impromptu short for 2018.unprincess wrote:ugh I figured it be 2019 but was hoping it'd get the winter/spring slot.
btw, isnt it time they announce a second short? I think I read they mentioned there were plans for more.
I was specifically thinking of just shorts shown in theaters. Im hoping we get at least one more before the sequel. November 2019 just seems such a long time, thats almost 2 & a half years to wait! You'd think theyd want some kind of Frozen related media around in public's minds. Of course there's also the Broadway show but its not like a lot of people will be able to watch that. The holiday special is set for the end of this year. Don’t worry. I’m always rather late in replying, that’s why you may have missed my response. And I don’t remember any other time you haven’t replied to something I had asked. Thank you so much for taking the trouble to find the answer to my question.JeanGreyForever wrote:I'm sorry, I seem to always miss your responses to my posts. The post is located here. http://www.dvdizzy.com/forum/viewtopic. ... ge#p674589 I thought it was on twitter but it's actually an interview.
Source: http://ew.com/movies/2017/06/13/olafs-f ... exclusive/More than anything, the holiday featurette sticks to Lasseter’s philosophy on sequels — “No matter the length, you only do it when you have a great story” — and serves as a fundamental foundation for Frozen 2. In a string of projects set in the world of Arendelle, the animation chief stresses that everything you’ve seen thus far of Frozen will coalesce in the November 2019 sequel, which will pick up after this timeline and examine the next chapter of Anna and Elsa figuring out how to co-exist on a united front. “In Frozen, they dearly loved each other but were separated, and now they’re back together and never going to close the doors again. But now what? What are they going to do with their first birthday? That’s Frozen Fever. Now, they have their first holiday season together. [That’s Olaf’s Frozen Adventure.] And then what? We go from there, and it fits in perfectly with Frozen 2,” he says. “It’s interesting to have this continuity between Frozen, Frozen Fever, Olaf’s Frozen Adventure, Frozen on Broadway… all of these projects really lead to Frozen 2 and this new story we’re creating that’s all, in a weird way, connected in the life of Anna and Elsa. You could sit and watch Olaf’s Frozen Adventure and Frozen 2 as one big marathon. And it’s all in [Anna and Elsa’s] learnings. As we learn, they learn.”

"I know I’m going to get into the studio for the first time in a couple of weeks. I haven't seen the script yet. We’ve just gotten to that part in the process."
Source: http://www.radiotimes.com/news/film/201 ... 2-details/“I just started recording,” Bell said, though she was hesitant to reveal much more. “I can’t say anything, because I’m sure I’m being tailed by Disney!”
“I will say I was thrilled after reading it,” the Bad Moms star continued. “They [the producers of Frozen] waited so long because they were not intent on settling, and they didn’t want another quote unquote ‘episode’ of Frozen, where somebody gets in trouble, and somebody saves them. This is a deeper story, much like the first one.”
Bell, who stars in a new comedy called The Good Place on Netflix later this month, feels strongly that the new film is taking the franchise in the right direction.
“Without being hyperbolic or dramatic, it’s a story that needs to be told next.”
