So, which movie is next for Diamond?
The Little Mermaid on spring?

It is indeed Mermaid .... though feel a bit sick at thought, what will the woeful last few releases from Disney. At least she is popping back into theaters as well.

Is not that the Platinum had extensive extras to start with...
Which is a SHAME.
1. TLM started the new era of success with Disney.
2. To make a movie like that, in 1989, had to be quite the job... so I want to know EVERYTHING about it.
PS
The DVD of Peter Pan also has an audio commentary.
PS2
When is TLM re release on theaters? And is it going to be all around the world or just USA?

Well, TLM is supposed to be released in 3D.
If Lion King and Beauty/Beast were released in 3D in your country, then you can assume the same for Mermaid.

the 3D theatrical release is likely septembre in the two weeks leading up to the Blu-ray release in october.

Are the features for the European release the same as the upcoming US release ? Will it get steel book treatment ?
The Little mermaid is a fall 2013 release, so it should get massive promotion.

A question rises again since I didn´t get it before.
If Peter Pan was supposed to be released as the next Diamond in february...what happens now that it is being sold already in Spain?
Are we going to:
1. Get Aladdin instead.
2. Other of the already released titles in the US that haven´t been released here (Treasure Planet, Home on the Range or The Great Mouse Detective).
3. None.

Aladdin is getting released in Spring but I don't think we have info about its status

Since (most of) Europe is already getting Peter Pan this year as a non-diamond edition, I'm thinking we'll either get a different Diamond next year, maybe Aladdin or something else...Jungle Book...or whatever?
Or none, and will only get Little Mermaid at the end of 2013.
They might release Treasure Planet, Home On The Range etc etc, but they will most definately not be released as a diamond release.
In Europe, Pinocchio had a re-release lately and 101 Dalmatians and Peter Pan are also released. So if we get a Diamond in a couple of months, it could be Jungle Book, Aladdin or a re-release of Sleeping Beauty
My guess would be Aladdin or none at all.

The same way we are not getting even trailers of upcomming releases.
That´s why I ask.

Asked someone that has the Blu Ray for the trailers and told me it has none.
Also is worth mentioning that the Blu Ray is not labeled as Diamond. Just a regular release.

Hm, so it seems likely that the "Diamond collection" will end before all of the announced titles have been released, at least outside the US that is...
You got to give it to Disney, Disney home entertainement and marketing - they seem utterly incapable to stay consistent or stick to a plan^^

I should say they numbered the spine on The Rescuers but not on The Rescuers Down Under.

The dutch cover has emerged on the net, same as the platinum cover, though it seems there might be a chance it comes with slipcover! Weird since Disney benelux announced to drop those and the UK got one without....

I just got the European release today. Will check out the extra features tonight. Looks pretty barebones.
Also, it says 'special edition'.
So special.

"In Walt's Words: "Why I Made Peter Pan"" featurette (7:46)
"Tinker Bell: A Fairy Tale" featurette (8:27)
"The Peter Pan That Almost Was" featurette (21:01)

And these extras from the DVD are missing:

So nothing new?
At least all the worthwhile extras save the galleries were kept.
Read along...the peak of Disney's extras.
