People complain all the time about Ariel and Belle being off-model, but I swear I saw at least three different Rapunzels in Tangled. Eyes are definitely a huge part of the problem, but also her entire head, because it seems disproportionate to the rest of her body.

So is it going to be both CGI and Hand Drawn or is it a different type of Hand Drawn?

I think they'll use a cel-shading/painterly technique like the one used on "The Stedfast Tin Soldier" sequence in Fantasia 2000 and on the shelved My Peoples.

Man,that is cool and it would have been a good movie if they didn't close the Florida studio.Why is it the good movies are always the ones that get canceled.

It's just not fair! They obviously LOVE doing this to us and I wouldn't be too surprised if it wasn't because of Tangled's success (and medium) that Snow Queen went from being hand-drawn and titled Snow Queen to being called Frozen and CG, let alone that they're probably not doing anymore hand-drawn movies because of Tangled!

lol don't be such a drama queen. traditionally animated features have come and gone and come back again, just as executives do.

Okay, let's not start this again, okay? They're still doing hand drawn, it just takes a while to make it. Maybe the Mickey Mouse movie will be the next hand drawn movie.

I doubt that. Currently, there are around 6 features in active development all CG. Even the Clements & Musker film will be mostly CG with a few hand-drawn elements or a 2D/painterly texture. The 'Mickey Mouse' feature is no longer in development so as things are right now we won't be seeing another Disney hand-drawn feature until 2019. And that's even an "if". They may never make another hand-drawn one.

OH, COME ON!!!!!! The one time that they get us to regain our faith in them, they screw us over! AGAIN!!!!

Don't worry be happy man because anything can happen during this new decade.We call might not get what we want but we might get something unexpected. Disney like any company sometimes changes its plans over time because of issues. Heck, did you know that Disney almost made a their own version of the Wizard Of Oz but canceled it before preproduction.

Honestly, I'd like to see them do a Disney-style crossover of The Wizard of Oz, casting Disney characters in the roles of the WoO characters. You know, kind of in the spirit of Mickey's Christmas Carol or The Prince and the Pauper.

Here, this is the cast of Disney characters I envision in the roles. Of course, some of them aren't my own ideas:

Alice (Alice in Wonderland) as Dorothy
Patch (101 Dalmatians), Bolt or any other Disney dog as Toto
Pinocchio as the Scarecrow
B.E.N. (Treasure Planet) as the Tin Woodsman
Louis the Alligator as the Cowardly Lion (Alligator)
Maleficent as the Wicked Witch of the West
Mama Odie as the Good Witch of the North
Mary Poppins or the Blue Fairy (Pinocchio) as Glinda the Good Witch of the South
Mickey Mouse as the Wizard of Oz

A little commentary on the cast and story:
- Alice seems right for the role of Dorothy because both wish to visit a world other than their own and get more than they wished for.
- I could have said Simba as the Lion, but Simba doesn't really scream 'cowardly'. If you watch The Princess and the Frog, you'd understand since Louis is a bit of a chicken.
- Just because the witch of the west is wicked doesn't mean she HAS to be ugly. Some might tend to disagree.
- Lastly, this would be more following the book (loosely if optional) than the 1939 movie. You know, kind of like how the West End/Broadway productions of Mary Poppins are more close to the books than the 1964 Disney film.
