I actually think Joe Moshier's character designs for Chicken Little are more imaginative than these generic fox and rabbit ones....

They're really selling this movie hard, but I am not feeling any of it so far.

Eh, they're not amazing, but I don't think they're that bad. Definitely within the range of expectation, I would say. Then again, I've learned to not to have super high expectations from big studio films in terms of design.

I...like it? I like that theyre keeping some of the actual anatomy of the real animals in the designs (look at Judy's feet) instead of overstylizing it into cartooniness(like the dinos in Good Dinosaur.) Other than that, its your typical CGI aesthetic, yeah...

The design of the fox was better than the rabbit

Be-fur.... really?

I hate how they're explaining anthropomorphism as if we've never seen a Disney movie before. This is one mediocre teaser.

I'm in the minority maybe, but The Good Dinosaur looks more interesting to me. Even design wise...

Was it better than this teaser?

I liked that Chicken Little teaser better yeah. The movie is FAR from perfect, but the marketing was fine. Adjusted for inflation it opened higher than Wreck-It Ralph for example, so the marketing was not the problem. The movie itself was the problem.

I've never wanted to punch a character in a teaser more than this fox. Ugh... that smug expression. So annoying.

As for the teaser itself. Didn't really do it for me. This movie just isn't that interesting because we are not seeing the world that they live in. Disney should have made a teaser similar to those travel agency ads for some countries. It would have been a perfect way to introduce Zootopia to the audience.

Yeah, the teaser was pretty blah. Let's hope the regular trailer will be a bit better.

I don't know why people are being hard on this. It's a TEASER. Of course, they won't give anything away. I think the teaser was not bad. I just wish they showed us the world. I like Nick so far.

What a horrible teaser. I think it's the worst teaser ever for an animated Disney movie. Honestly, I can't think of a worse one. The entire concept felt very dated and flat. Explaining the meaning of anthropomorphic was condescending and the stretched pun with be-fur was cringe-worthy. And am I the only one who's getting really tired of the same smug, wise-ass male lead like Flynn Rider and Nick Wilde?

You guys are way too negative. I liked the teaser, it was rather different (good thing to stand out in a film field). I found the sloth in the background really funny. There is also some cool looking animals-wolves, camels, sheep, otters, mice, moose, etc. I think you guys need to just chill and like a movie for what it is.

Rabbits have amazing night vision.......

For a movie so unique because of its neverbeforeseen world, they chose to go for a white background. Maybe they are keeping it a secret, for greater effect, but that really should be the central marketing point, the unique world, the thing that sets it apart. Disney started with anthropromorphic characters, they could have had a Mickey Mouse or Robin Hood cameo.

When there is something completely new, why did they chose to focus on something done over and over again.

The teaser absolutely murdered the Good Dinosaur's fucking awful one.

Sorry, how can you prefer designs that pale to Ice Age 3's 6 years ago over this?

Pixar have lost the plot (Inside Out seems to be the exception).

I would have thought this would receive a better reception here on a Disney loving website.

After all, this looks a lot better than Frozen's teaser and will definitely be a lot better than the shitstain that was Big Hero 6. Maybe there is a bias here towards princess and superhero movies. Too bad.

edit: Yeah, I mean, the acceptance level here isn't that high with loads of people loving the bad CGIfests that were Disney's live action adaptations since Alice and the really generic and completely pandering Big Hero 6.

LOL I didn't find it that bad. Some of the subtle things with the background animals were cute.

The fact that Disney released ANYTHING this long before the release is out of character for them lately. They'll obviously have more detailed advertisements later.

Yes, nearly all characters of that ilk can DIAF. I didn't realize the fox character was going to be like that until the image that came out the other day.

Regardless of the teaser, I'm guessing I'll moderately like this. I'd be surprised if I latch onto it though, like I did Frozen and TP&TF.

Well....

I literally am not sure what to say about this. All I can hope is that the next few Teasers will help make this look more promising. And I really hope they don't attempt to out-Dreamworks Dreamworks again...

I also don't know why people are acting like Disney is trying to make Nick a Dreamworks rip-off. Wasn't that Nick's character to begin with? Sly as a fox? So, the characters, two NATURAL ENEMIES, can become friends at the end? If they do the same thing in Moana & Giants, then yeah, get concerned. My biggest concern is if Judy is another Charlotte/Rapunzel/Anna. Because it seems like they dramatically rewrote her character and made her the focus after Frozen's unexpected success. Kido corrected me on this, but still.
