After months of basically "wearing" the same signature and icon set I decided it was time for a change. Last night I was inspired to write a piece about the concept of faith in the Disney movies. I asked enigmawing to make me a set featuring the scenes that I think best represent how faith is conveyed in the Disney stories.

That's funny. It also provides an interesting social commentary.

Although, wouldn't "Detective Conan" make a better equivalent since it's the most popular 'detective' anime currently in Japan?

Yes, but note that he said MODERN Sherlock Holmes. These are very current interpretations of the character. The joke is that the UK and American interpretations of the character are loyal to the source material, while the Japanese version is one created to appeal to a fanbase that loves cute anime girls.

Oh yes, might as well explain my signature and how these scenes represent faith:

Beauty and the Beast represents how faith that teach us to love unconditionally and transform people into better human beings.

Pinocchio represents having faith in a higher power that rewards us based on our actions.

Cinderella represents faith lost and restored. Cinderella loses faith in herself and the world after her dress is destroyed, but gains it back when the Fairy Godmother listen to her plight.

Finally, The Hunchback of Notre Drama represents how faith that help us overcome social and personal stigmas.

Corny? Definitely, but I was really inspired when I wrote my article and thus wanted to represent it.

Was it a good game? :)

I know you said it was your favourite, but I'm wondering whether you said that because it was truly a great game or because it was an official licensed product, which of course makes it somewhat special.

The game's good though it doesn't follow the story of the film. It starts with Ariel under the human spell spending time with Eric who is already planning to marry her. Out of the blue, Sebastian arrives to tell Ariel that Ursula placed the sea creatures under a spell and Ariel must save the sea. Then Ariel springs it on Eric that she's a mermaid, changes back into a mermaid (at will?!), and swims away. Then the gameplay starts under the sea. It's funny Ariel has to cut short her three days she's suppose to spend as a human to fight Ursula as a mermaid! The game's a little too easy but it's a fun way to kill around fifty minutes. Being a Little Mermaid fan I would have wanted to try out this game and I ended up liking it. It's amusing playing Ariel throwing bubbles with swipes of her tail at various sea creatures, trapping the creatures in the bubbles, and carrying and throwing the bubble encased creatures at other creatures. The boss rounds are best things to play the game for. There's the shark from the sunken ship in the film, a weird large seahorse with a fish tail in place of whip tail, a walrus, Flotsam and Jetsam share a boss round, original size Ursula with her brewing pool, and gigantic trident wielding Ursula. I'd probably like any video game in which the player plays as a merperson. I liked playing Sora in his sharkboy form in Kingdom Hearts.

Well, it sounds like some good retro videogame fun. I expect you now use an emulator to play it, no?
