Same here...

So far it looks like it will be $16.99 + tax after the coupon at Target and Best Buy. Best Buy has some type of book, and Target has a purse with the combo pack.

More info on this book please?

Coupon is just for the combo pack right? How many versions of the movie are there, i.e. single disc, 2-disc, etc.?

What DVD features are included in the DVD/Blu combo pack?
Yes, the coupon is only for the combo.

There are 3 version of The Princess and the Frog:

1 Disc (DVD)
1 Disc (Blu-ray)
3 Disc (Blu-ray, DVD, and Disney File Digital Copy) [Combo Pack]
So does the DVD in the Combo contain all the DVD bonus features as the single disc DVD set?

I'm just asking as in some Disney Combo releases, the DVD is just the film, but on the other hand, like DisneyNature's earth and Up, the combo contained the DVD with the DVD bonus features. This was a little bit of info that was unclear in UD's review of the combo.

It's likely, though I have yet to see where it's just the film.

For a year now, when there's a combo, that's all Disney sends for review. And so far whenever there's been a Disney combo, the DVD has been the same as the standalone DVD (Deluxe version when they were doing that) or just Disc 1 of it if it's a 2-disc set. Since genuine 2-disc DVDs have become pretty rare at Disney, the Blu-ray combos tend to have everything on DVD that the DVD itself has. The only exceptions are the real 2-disc DVDs (where Disc 2 isn't just a digital copy): Sleeping Beauty, Pinocchio, Snow White, Ponyo (I think that's all of them). Hope that makes sense. The different concoctions do require some deciphering and now Combo-exclusive Blu-ray extras are only going to make it more confusing.

Yeah, I had been confused about this, too, but I understand now:

TP&tF won't be like Bolt, which had 1) almost-barebones 1-disc DVD, 2) Deluxe DVD (w/ more features) + Digital Copy, and 3) Blu-ray Combo Pack. TP&tF has 1) its own stand-alone 1-disc Blu-ray, which I think is pretty unique for Disney, 2) 1-disc DVD, and 3) Combo Pack including the 1-disc DVD, the 1-disc Blu-ray, and the Digital Copy.

Looks like it will be this one:

Image

I'm guessing it will be similar to the Tinker Bell book that came with the Lost Treasure Blu-ray I picked up at Best Buy:

Image

It's a hardcover, approximately 5.25" x 6.5" (slimmer and slightly smaller than a Blu-ray case), and has 48 pages. So it's small, but is nicely done and full of colorful production stills and notes on the characters, locations, etc. I can't say for sure that their Princess and the Frog book will match this one, but it sure looks like it as they're both "essential guides" published by DK and are listed as the same price ($5.99) if bought separately from the Blu-ray.

Personally, I'd much prefer a cute little book over the purse, but that's just me. ;)

Thanks. I think that's what I'll pick up. As a guy I have very little use for a purse.

@Sky Syndrome: Thank you too.

I'm confused, at Target's store is it $26.99? :? Because on their website the combo is $34.99.

No problem. As a girl I was very interested in the purse, but then I saw what it looked like.

It is kinda cute actually and I'm guessing it's well made, but it would have been so much more appealing IMO with a character or two on it instead of just the plain old logo. :p

I do like those coin purses with the metal clasp at the top, they're quite handy. :D I probably would pick it up regardless if the book wasn't available at Best Buy and if I didn't have a grudge against Target.

For anyone interested Princess and the Frog is an iTunes Extras movie - it comes with bonus features like Up, doesn't say what they are but I'll tell you on Tuesday hopefully, maybe there will be something that isn't on the DVD/Blu-Ray  But I doubt it...

Probably a stupid question because I'm sure it is, but is the Blu-Ray locked to region A? It's not out here in Australia until like June :(

I might be getting this movie for one of my nieces, who is turning 6 this week. Is there a coupon for $5 off the DVD (they don't have a Blu Ray player). And would Best Buy accept it?
