I'm probably gonna be voted "UD Member Who Remembers The Most Random Things" at the next UD Awards because of this...

Both recommend Goo Gone.

I heard that a blow-dryer actually helps peel the stickers off of the slipcover, will that work for the sticky goo as well?
I hate how they put the sticker on the slipcover instead of the plastic wrap around the DVD!! It doesn't make sense ! The DVD is stuck on the Blu-ray case ? I thought it would just be packaged inside... ?

If it is the goo kind, just gently peel it off. It won't even hurt if you pull extremely hard and stretch it to its limits till it comes off. Trust me, if it is the big ugly rubber-y dried glue, then it will be the most fun thing in your life to peel off! (Because you'll be so amazed at how easily it comes off.)

It's just another DVD of the film.
The sticky stuff holding the blu ray rubbed right off *shrugs*

After viewing the blu-ray today, I have to say BRAVO! BRAVO! BRAVO!! to Disney for this amazing presentation. The picture is so gorgeous with its pure perfection and warm colors, it looks like a storybook illustration come to life. Such an improvement. The new audio mix is stunning as well. It's full and rich. It was so exciting, it reminded me of the very first time I saw Sleeping Beauty in the theater. It was like seeing it for the first time again today. It's obvious that this was lovingly restored with the greatest care. I'm one happy guy!
It's just magnificent. This is
the most satisfying home video release I've ever experienced.

I don't know if it's already been asked on this thread, but I'm curious about one thing - The Blu-ray is advertised to come with "A bonus DVD copy of the movie". Do they mean it's a digital copy or is this the actual film on a DVD that you can view on a standalone player?
Thanks,
JM

Time and again. And again. And again.
The bonus DVD for the Blu-Ray is simply the first disc from the two-disc DVD. No digital copy. No material gained from the second disc. No material lost from the first disc. It's the same exact disc as you'd find in the two-disc standard DVD.

Sorry for asking a repetetive question, Scaps, I'm just tired and didn't want to comb the thread. My mom's been haranguing me for the answer.
I thought it was kind of silly to have a bonus DVD, not a digital copy. Isn't the whole point of Blu-ray to
upgrade from DVD?
Cheers,
JM

No worries. Combing through a lengthy first thread and a 13-page second thread is rather daunting. I don't know how the hell I've kept up with it since page 30-something!

Yeah, but the regular DVD is mainly for travel and other-rooms-without-Blu-Ray-players purposes.

I really am floored by how much I enjoyed the film...and I'll be honest I really didn't like much of the earlier Disney films however I do appreicate them, and view them.
I walked away feeling satisifed too...
I urge everyone to at least see it once on Blu Ray with a good sound system...truly amazing.
Also this si the first time i"ve seen SB in more than 20 years, and I'm 22 now ;p

Makes sense. My parents paid for Iron Man on DVD while I bought the Blu-ray, and I only watched their copy while we were out of town since, y'know, I'm not gonna lug a $400 machine from Florida to Vermont for 5 days.
Thanks for clearing up my questions, though.
Cheers,
JM

I might, but it's not really worth wasting gas on. I might do it later this week if I have some errands to do.
You could call Disney (the number might be on the dvd disc) and tell them that you did not get your dvd guide and ask them to mail you one. I am pretty sure they will mail you one.

Question: Is the DVD version still enjoyable? Or does it just feel like watching a recoloured version of the SE?
