Yep! That's the one as I mentioned before.

Guys, it's not news that Invincible has the new logo -- the trailers had the old one because the new one was as yet unveiled, but here's the thing. It is a *perminant replacement.* With the possible (but I think unlikely) exception of future Pixar films, <b>every single movie released under the Walt Disney Pictures name from now on will have the new logo</b> unless they see fit to create a unique one for a specific film.

I've seen the new logo. And I don't have anything against it, but ... I loved the nostalgia that the old one had for me. I've always known that castle. It makes me a little sad that it's gone. I suppose though, when I watch my Dvd's that have the old castle with it, it will only help inhance the nostalgia.

But I am really going to miss it.

Thanks! I'll go check it out if "Invicible" is playing right now. I will go see it either next week, a couple of weeks or wait for the DVD to come out soon.

They should really make the new logo available for download. It is really cool!

WaltDisney123 has already posted that link on YouTube. You should go back and check on the link. The same new logo is also being use in the opening of "Invincible" for those of you who haven't seen the movie yet, it's still playing this week.

If "Brother Bear 2" was already out on DVD, does it have the same new logo like they did with those direct-to-video movies? I didn't see it yet when I get it.

on Brother Bear 2, its still the classic logo more or less. just added a small touch at the end where the sparkle turns into birds when it finishes going over the castle. then it fades into the movie.


now does anyone believe me that they wont be using the super fancy version all the time?

Thanks for the pic. It looks like the original logo is coming back from its retirement. Why did they do that on "Brother Bear 2"? Does the new logo outside of "Pirates" and "Invincible" will be on direct-to-video movies by 2007? My guess will be "Cinderella 3". "The Little Mermaid" will bring the original logo back for the fully restored Platinum Edition DVD so that it will restored the original logo the way it was, not just the white castle in early films, just the blue castle like the one that it was shown in that pic for the opening of "Brother Bear 2". I wish it will restore the original 1985 logo music with clean titles for the TLM DVD. That would be great!

Saw Little Mermaid last night at El Capitan and they used the old blue logo for it.

Yes! I know you saw "The Little Mermaid" at the El Capitan Theatre last night and it's not the new one, but it's the return of the original logo for the first time since its retirement. I'm glad that the original logo came out of its retirement, but one thing, I have the original VHS tape had the same thing, but it was white with dark blue background, but it had a white castle on it. But on the Platinum Edition DVD of "The Little Mermaid", did they had the original logo restored with the light blue castle instead on white like they did on the direct-to-video DVD's ("Bambi 2", "Brother Bear 2", etc.) along with the original logo music still there? Here is what it looked like on "The Little Mermaid" Platinum Edition DVD.

The logo looks like the picture you posted here, but I didn't realize that there's been slight variations in this blue/white logo over the years. I think iit looked like what you've posted above. Did it have birds to the left? I can't recall, because I was not paying that close of attention to the logo. I just figured I'd add weight to the idea that Disney appears to be using whatever original logo was used with the original film when they re-issue it on DVD.

could someone show me what version of the logo is considered the original one around here? I mean, to me its the one I posted (without the birds ofcorse). thats hte only I always remember. I dont remember seeing a white version on the old vhs disney movies, but then again its been over 10 years since Ive seen them.

and of corse it wouldnt have the birds, that was a one time thing. kind of like how they did with lilo and stitch. they like to customise it every now and then if it suits the movie. but with the little mermaid, they will use the old logo, untouched, becuase they dont want to ruin peoples memories of a classic.

How long will the original logo last on "Brother Bear 2"? I don't see it replaced with a new logo on the direct-to-video movies outside of theatrical.
