wrestling_stat, I was just going to mention the same thing. It makes me wonder if this is a "Twist In Time" type story but with Ariel as a human and having already known Eric.

They do look like kids, but then again this is a storyboard so perhaps it was easier to draw them this way or something.

i read on Tara Strong(Voice Actress of Melody) official myspace blogthat TLM 3 is in fact a prequel, so no melody but she will be doing the voices of ariel's sisters, her mom is in this as well.

A Storyboard for The Little Mermaid III!

:float: Atlanticaunderthesea, thank you so much for making me feel soooo happy! You especially made me feel warm and fuzzy when you said I was "cool" and "clever" in the Pictures from Disney's Enchanted Thread. You are very cool and clever too, especially getting the detailed info on voice actors for the princesses and such. Also, I give big thanks to xxhplinkxx and Aladdin from Agrabah as well for making me feel so appreciated and wanted! I'm glad I can help you guys!

To answer some questions, I had remembered way back when that I came across the storyboard on The Little Ariel Forum. But I thought it couldn't be the real deal because it just didn't look like a sequel to me. And yes, it appears that Eric or that guy at the wheel has Sebastian and Ariel hunting for a white whale, and Sebastian isn't happy about it. But I don't like it because it seems too much like Moby Dick with the mysterious guy at the wheel and the white whale hunt, and that woman gets sea sick just like Grimsby! I was just hoping for something more different, it seems to borrow from other things.

The interesting things, though, are that Sebastian says, "And if dat parrot thinks he can tell dis crab what to do...", which implies that some talking parrot character will not get along with him. It also states that Ariel and Sebastian are "still angry with Eric". If this storyboard makes it into the film, we'll find out why.
atlanticaunderthesea wrote:Rob Paulson does great voiceover work, but I would just love Christopher Daniel Barnes to come back and play Prince Eric once again. Even though he wasn't in TLMII, he was in Kingdom Hearts as Eric, so I don't see why he isn't coming back again. Booooo!!!! :(
Did you know that he did the voice of Prince Charming in Cinderella II, and I think he's doing Cinderella III?

At this site it lists Christopher Daniel Barnes as Eric, and this site lists him as the Prince. This site just says "Chris Barnes".

So it's a prequel and yet Eric is in it? How does that work?

Maybe.

I wonder when all our questions will be answered. (another words, when will the movie come out.)

I think it's been quite a long time since we started appreciating each other but I think it's good for us to remind you how much you mean to us.

Disney Duster, you are indeed a fabby fab fab person; we should re-name you as The Font Of All Disney Knowledge. Which I think I might do!

Yup, I did know he was the Prince in Cinderella. Why has he become one Prince, and dropped the other? Doesnt he like Eric anymore?? :(

Thank you for my thank you on the Disney Princess voices! I just do it for myself, and am really happy if it makes anyone else happy!!

Man, I am really feeling the love on this board! :)

I just read this in the voice cast section of wikipedia.
Danny Cooksey - Urchin
:jawdrop: :o :jawdrop: :o

IS THIS TRUE?!?!?!

I wouldn't say that wikipedia is that reliable, can't anyone send something in and they add it? Kind of like imdb?

It would be an interesting tie-in to the animated series though if he were in it. Might make a DVD release of the series more of a possibility...

I personally don't want't a tie in to the TV series, as much as I love it. I want it to be a new, and inventive story.

Eric and Ariel, after just being married, are on the ship, and are looking for something. To find it, Ariel must be a mermaid again.

I really have no clue; I just don't want TLMIII to be a jump start to re-releasing the Tv series on DVD. It should be a fantastic movie in its own right.

If Urchin was in it, there would be acknowledgement of the series, but not nessasarily making the movie a spin off from it.

And yup, you can write stuff on wikipedia yourself. That cast list has been changing all over the place. So, I'm not sure what's what really!

scheduled for release on November 20, 2007 Is this true?? and also is this? This film will be the last Disney direct-to-video sequel

Hmmmmm

I agree about not making it a spin-off the series (which wasn't that great), but for some reason I always really liked Urchin. Him and Gabrielle were the only good things to come out of the series to me. So I wouldn't mind seeing him, but I'd rather it go farther back than that. In fact, I'd rather Eric not be in it period.

Perhaps Ariel and Eric have no interactions in the flashbacks so as to not mess with continuity.

Maybe she sees him from far away like in the series or something.

atlanticaunderthesea, I really love the picture in your icon, is there a bigger version somewhere? It's really pretty.

The Enquirer is more realiable then Wikipedia. Recently Boston Chicken/Market's Wiki was completely and hysterically re-editted by someone. It really was funny stuff, but lies all the same.

I can go on Wiki right now and put this cast list
Ariel - James Belushi
Prince Eric - Jessica Simpson
Flounder - Moose the Dog
Sebastian - Aretha Franklin

But I don't want to be somehow banned from Wiki :P

Thanks for the icon compliment, but its not mine; I got it from this site, under the christmas section! Really lovely; it's from Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas. I'm sure if you serched that, the pic would come up.

Siren, you comment on the cast list made me laugh so much!

Cool! Thats info from two different sources regarding the release date, so we should take it as red that it will be released then??

We shouldnt worry that there is little info about it, as the release is just under a year away, and Cinderella III didnt get much info at all untill the teaser tailer on the 2005 DVD. And this was made up of recycled footage, so no new animation was involved. Then, for the whole of 2006 there was nothing much until October with TLM DVD, when there was a fuller trailer with new animation, and the subtitle of "Twist In Time". So I guess its from about that time weve been having info on it. But TLM has had more than Cinderella had at this point; a (very) obscure teaser trailer, and a musical sneak peak. Thats quite a lot really.

I think the plot line should be released early in the new year, and possibly a fuller triailer with Peter Pan? Or is that hoping too much??

WOW, that's very nice of you, but please don't. All I am is someone who knows where to look for things on the net, if I have the motivation and interest. I love Cinderella and The Little Mermaid to death, and will search far and wide for any news on them. But I don't know everything about Disney in general. So maybe The Font of All Cinderella/Little Mermaid Knowledge...even though there's a lot more to know out there. What's a Font?
