Yeah, but everyone seems to miss the point, it's supposed to be entertaining. It's not supposed to be this magical motion picture that has pixie dust on it, it's family affair, nothing more, nothing less.
And I disagree on the voice acting thing, castleinthesky. It's actually very good. Don't forget, Disney didn't have to sell star names on this to make it a hit. They let the movie carry itself. If you want mediocre acting, try Shark Tale.
And yeah, there wasn't no farting in CL.

Yeah. The LAST thing we want around here is for people to have different opinions about movies.

Isaac15, what's the big deal if castleinthesky doesn't like
Shrek 2 or
Chicken Little?
Shrek 2 may have been a pretty big movie, but that doesn't mean everybody has to like it. It's all a matter of opinion.

i personally loved Shrek 2, but then again i know some people who didn't like it all and i'm not going to criticize them for not liking it bc it did well in the box office. The difference between CL and Shrek 2 is that i think they are trying to hit different audiences. I'm not too convinced that Shrek 2 is supposed to be a kids movie. i think it's aimed towards a jr.high and up audience where as CL is whole family entertainment. I just find it hard not to laugh when people say that Shrek 2 is a family film. CL and Shrek 2 are two completely different films to me and i think that the only connection you can make between the 2 is the fact that they are both CGI. that may just be me though.

Well, isaac15 must be psychic, because Chicken Little is now in the #6 spot according to BOM. It's made approx. $121,006,000 worldwide so far. Not too bad, but it looks like it won't make too much more.

While it is true that Chicken Little has slipped to number 6 in the box office, i think it would be wise for people to actually look at the takings.
Despite being now at 6, CL has this week taken more during weekdays than last week almost double on some!
Last Wednesday it took less than 1M, this Weds it took 2M +
Last Thursday it took 900,000 whereas this Thursday it took around 1M 900K
The Chicken still has legs yet!

Actually this week it made an additional 7.4 million in worldwide sales, bringing the overseas box office to 25 million. Still doing very good in Mexico despite Harry Potter being out. And apparently, in Spain it managed an reallly well 2.5 million, while in Poland it posted the biggest ever opening for an animated feature. So, so far that brings the worldwide total to approximately 130,739,000.
Man, I tell ya, CL got kicked around by the Harry Potter craze last week, and now, with this crapload of all these crappy new movies out, it looks to not stand a chance in the top 5 this week, and I was hopping the family audience would ditch Yours, Mine and Ours for CL instead.

Yesterday I saw Chicken Little and I have to say I was disappointed. I thought it was gonna be funnier than what it was.To me it started off slow and was boring. Why was so hard for Chicken Little to talk to his Dad!? And why in most Disney movies, the main characters don't have a Mom!? I just think that hopefully Disney and Pixar will sitck together.

Chicken Little bounced back into the top 5 Friday, in 4th place, 2 jumps up from the 6th from Thursday, with an estimated 5,325.000. This puts Chicken Little so far, as of Friday, $111,064,000.
Chicken legs indeed.

The initial release of Potter may had not the Chicken off it's roost (sorry i know that was a terrible joke but i couldn't resist

) But I told you the Chicken would have legs. Last Friday it took 3.5 mil, whereas this Friday it took almost 2 million more, coming in at around 5.3 million.
O ye of little faith!

This may be a little off-topic.
I loved Chicken Little, I'm definately going to pick up the DVD when it comes out. It had some humor and I found some of the scenes done great. My favorite scenes were the baseball and dodgeball scene.

Once again, good for Disney.

And the worldwide figures still aren't in yet for this past week, so we'll see how well it's doing overseas so far.
How ironic that it's being released in the United Kingdom last. I guess cuz the last couple of Disney animated movies haven't done well there.
I'm guessing though next week, since even MORE movies are being unleashed (damn the box office is getting crowded these days they don't even give the other flicks a chance) it'll finally start to feel the effect and drop to 6 or 7. About maybe 6.1 or 4.9 million. We'll have to see. It won't stand up against Narnia (or even Potter for that matter).

No, its because it missed our mid-term school holidays, and Christmas is too crowded (as you pointed out yourself - Harry Potter will still have legs, plus Narnia and King Kong).
