If its true that was just a stupid move.
Every season set seems to know what to do and one of the industry leaders doesn't. Very disappointing.

So, now that the episode list for Ducktales has been brought to light, what are the episodes for the Rescue Rangers set?
This really sucks

I don't know why they can't put the pilot on. I may just avoid this as an act of defiance. The pilot was the absolute best episode of DT out of all of them.

Doesn't make sense.
I'll still get the set, it's too good of a show not to. But I'm disappointed in this particular decision.

Three Men and a Booby
The Carpetsnaggers
Piratsy Under the Sea
Adventures in Squirrelsitting
Flash the Wonder Dog
The Pound of the Baskervilles
Parental Discretion Retired
Risky Beesness
DISC TWO:
Bearing Up Baby
Out to Launch
Dale Beside Himself
Kiwi's Big Adventure
A Lad in a Lamp
The Battle of the Bulge
Ghost of a Chance
An Elephant Never Suspects
DISC THREE:
A Case of Stageblight
The Luck Stops Here
Fake Me to Your Leader
Last Train to Cashville
The Case of the Cola Cult
Throw Mummy from the Train

Prehysterical Pet

Does Pavlov Ring a Bell?
So yeah, same as Ducktales they are missing the first 5 episodes out!
I won't buy these sets until the pilot episodes are out on DVD as well. There is no point in having an incomplete set

If DuckTales or Chip 'n' Dale Rescue Rangers don't sell well Disney might not release the pilot episodes.

i feel like i'm always caught in a catch-22 with TV series on DVD.
On the one hand i am excited about shows coming out.On the other hand i am tired of getting inferior or half efforted sets and HAVING to support them because otherwise nothing else will come out.
I feel like i cant win. If i protest to make a point, the show doesn't sell and they say "we won't do that again". If i buy it than they say "see they don't care, they'llbuy whatever we put out".
It's the same garbage with double dips.
I mean who puts out a tv show on dvd and doesnt include the pilot??!?!

Disney, apparently.
I do think I'll end up getting the set, but grudgingly so. Darn you Disney! Whatever happened to you?

Yeah I have to say it kinda stinks about them missing the pilots. But I have a feeing they are considering them as TV movies since they were ORIGINALLY shown as one. You have to give them credit to sticking to the original versions, however, with that being said why did they not release the movies first? I almost have a feeling that they will be released early next year.
I really wish they were put as part of the first volume, but maybe they are thinking that kids are more likely to watch ONE DVD than three, so they separated them. I don't know. It's weird really. I just thank cable for showing them over the years so I have a really good version on a high quality VHS.

The PILOT could be on the set and considered as an EXTRA...
I'll wait for more info.

problem is that there doesnt seem to be a lot of room left to put them in.
I mean we're talking about 5 episodes or around 100-120 minutes.
If they start cramming that in (which they dont have the space for even on the shorter second disc) the video quality goes down too insane levels.
It just seems stupid to go with this approach.

Well, about the new 3-disc collection with Ducktales...
Think about this: If you compare the Ducktales 3 disc set with the Chip´n Dale 3 disc set, they both miss the first 5 part aka the Pilot.
They (Disney) are consistant with both the sets and therefore might have a reason for it.
Have anyone bothered to ask Disney what the release plan for Ducktales and Chip´n Dale RR are? (I don't have an e-mail addy to them.)
One more thing, U guys in the US are lucky, Buena Vista over there are releasing many dvds that won't get out here in Sweden (europe). Buena Vista over here in Sweden are hopless. They can't even bother to even put out the Disney Treasures - Goofy or Pluto.
Luckily i have a Region-free dvd-player and got hold of a good Internet-Shop that are specialized in importing region 1 dvds

Amazon.com User, regarding Ducktales:
"I have a framed cel in my collection from the episode "Wrong Way to Ronguary" and on it the cel says "Show 25 Scene 310"- not show 2, or 3, etc. By contrast I have an episode from the Castle McDuck episode from Season 1 and it does not have a show and scene listing at all. In other words, the pilot was probably shot/made during season 2, although intended to be the pilot week (thus the Valley of the Golden Suns series should show up on Volume 2). Hope this helps anyone looking forward to this great release!!"
Hopefully that author is right, but it just wouldn't make sense.
Who makes a pilot for a T.V Show after they make regular episodes?
Less them a month away!!

No, your right that doesn't make sense. And even if the pilot was "show 25" then it woudn't be Season 2.
The Pilot was the first episode written, shot, produced and finnally aired.
