disneyboy20022 wrote:Also in the press release it gives details of the pricing the 3D Combo Pack, yet apparently it isn't coming quite yet though it's listed in the press release. Odd
I was just going to ask about that. The site's front page states "Strangely, no Blu-ray 3D edition is scheduled at this time", However on the press release it clearly lists the 3D Version:
3-Disc Blu-ray Combo Pack (Blu-ray 3D + Blu-ray + DVD + Digital Copy + Music Download) = $49.99 U.S./$56.99 Canada
Is that just an error in the press release or is one of the main retailers about to announce an exclusive 3D release after all?

:?

I'm wondering if some more bonus features will be featured on the Disney Animated app (which has yet to be exported to Android devices... :().

At least most of the people posting their thoughts below on this article seem to also think this report is a load of garbage

I actually thought that all of that was because of the confidence that she has after being free. She's declaring her freedom in a fashionable way...

I hate how a lot of people treat literary characters as role models who are supposed to teach their children lessons. They don't treat them like fictional characters. I saw the movie, I noticed the walk, and the "too much" leg showing, but I just brushed it off. She's just a character, she can act whatever way she wants. If I had a daughter who walked like that, I would obviously tell her to stop walking like that, but I wouldn't blame the movie.. It's my responsibility as a parent to make sure that my child learns the right messages from movies. How would they learn if something is bad if we don't tell them? Does a movie have to be to tell them?
When I was a kid, my parents would let us watch The Little Mermaid, but they made damn sure that we understood that it was wrong for Ariel to go around swimming in a Bra. They didn't blame disney for it.

Second, Why does Elsa have to be feminist? So what if she has ice powers, she's still a fragile girl. Oh, I'm gonna start complaining now because Elsa was running away the entire movie instead of attacking other people. Jeez...
She's a girl, let her act like a girl for crying out loud!

So I was standing in line to take a picture with Captain hook yesterday and this lady was complaining about how Tangled was better than Frozen. I asked her why and she said that she didn't think that Elsa needed Ice powers, that they were unnecessary, especially since they didn't explain them. "What was the point behind Elsa having powers?"

I was just face palming myself.. And then her daughter jumped out and shouted that she liked Frozen better. :D
Many of you guys already know that I hate tangled...so..
I gave it to her straight in the face, "the "Let it Go" sequence, which I personally thought was a little bit disappointing is better than Tangled in it's entirety". And she gave me a weird look..

People can have their own opinion....they don't have to agree with what you think, surely? After all, that's what makes an opinion an opinion in the first place.....

Could the writer have possibly interpreted the scene more wrongly? I mean, I'm no genius, but at the beginning of the song, Elsa is still under the pressure of trying to "be the good girl she always has to be." Her clothes are restricting and she doesn't let her personality show. By the end of the song, she's wearing a dress that she made and shows off parts of her personality she's had buried for years. It's about learning to love yourself and not holding back. That's pretty feminist, in my opinion.

Lol, it's just like how some feminists use Mulan as an example of anti-feminism. How she had to dress as a man.

Did they even watch the film? She enters the army as a man, but then saves the country as a woman, and honors her as a woman, admitting their own ways were wrong.

Often Disney trash talk is simply misinterpretation and lack of knowledge. It's really sad that people are so eager to assume the worse because Disney is a huge corporation. The film division is one of the very few that today that seek to teach young and old important lessons of morality and promote goodness.

 Hilariously bad opinion piece is hilariously bad. Well, not bad, just HIGHLY misinformed,

And in other news, my wish will soon come true David Kawena will in fact draw Hans for his Disney Heroes line.
O.K. I totally caved in, gave up, and couldn’t hold it any more. The next portrait of a Disney guy, will not be your typical ‘hero’. But, by God almighty, he is so Hansome (not a typo!)

To each their own. Your opinion is not superior.

Let it Go, to me, doesn't come close to anything in Tangled.

Can we please leave the whole Frozen VS Tangled thing outside the door ? Just don't want to turn everything into one big fight...

Some people are going to prefer Frozen while others Tangled

We all have different tastes and opinions.

People wanted Elsa to be a killer with her ice powers, and that she would've been "strong" had she gone all Carrie on everybody's asses. I don't. I liked how she was calm and reserved and not like the typical plucky tomboys that we've had for years (Rapunzel, Anna, Merida). Elsa actually behaves like a woman instead of a girl.

And I like that her powers create instead of destroy.

Btw, am I the only one who's tired of seeing her shipped off with Jack Frost? He's such a Mary Sue.

Personally I much prefer the Wreck-It Ralph/Elsa ship (Icebreaker). *coughJenniferLeecough*

I'm surprised we haven't got an outcry from Christians yet about how Elsa is a witch who should've been put to death and why couldn't she have been a nice, blonde, innocent lamb role model like Rapunzel.

This is most likely a goof on Amazon's part, however I just got an e-mail about an order Update for my Frozen Blu Ray, here's what it says
Hello,

We now have delivery date(s) for the order you placed on December 23, 2013 (Order#...............):

"Frozen (Two-Disc Blu-ray / DVD + Digital Copy)"
Estimated arrival date: January 23, 2014 - January 30, 2014
And Amazon has it listed that it ships in 3 weeks. For obvious reasons I don't think I'm getting it by the end of the month of January. I find it funny Amazon made this big of a botched job of having a delivering date be 2 months ahead of it's announced release date

I really like how Elsa's calm and mature too. It is a nice change from what we've been seeing, although I wouldn't consider Rapunzel and Anna to be tomboys.

No, you're not the only one. I was sick of it before it even started. I love both Elsa and Jack's characters. But neither of their stories has to do with romance, and they're from different studios. I honestly don't understand it.

I'm a Christian, and I immensely prefer Elsa to Rapunzel. I thought Elsa's hair was very blonde though. :?
