I'm more worried about this than Gigantic. I guarantee, they make 1 mistake & the entire Hispanic community will come down on Pixar. It's seems they're aware of this now, but still, no guarantee.

I went on tumblr guess what I found? Another article about the pulled Maui costume written by a white lady

Seems these morons just don't want to let this go, & just want to complain about a dumb Halloween costume which Disney removed from it's stores & apologize. I'm so glad in 2018 we won't have to worry about this:
The reason things like this get traction is because the public generally perceives Disney as having a history of issues with its portrayal of race. It’s the same thing with female characters—they have to tow a line because unlike other companies (like Pixar/Dreamworks), they have films made from the 30s-50s when certain attitudes were popularly held that are no longer considered acceptable by large portion of the audience today.

Just a heads-up, the
Moana Junior Novel released today, so if you're trying to avoid spoilers you might want to avoid the Moana tags on social media. However, feel free to read into spoilers if you want to. I won't judge. I myself have read spoilers ahead of time for every single Disney Animation film since Tangled, and my enjoyment for each film wasn't affected.

I agree, Tangled, my appreciation hasn't been affected, but that's just me. Btw, do you (or anyone else reading) have a link to the new Moana spoilers out there? I Googled "tumblr Moana spoilers" but everything I found was months-old.

WDAS can't do nothing about it's deep past regarding race. They can apologize til they're blue in the face but it won't make a difference. It's just if this happens every time they release a feature with PoC leads, complaining about anything, saying Disney is racist & exploiting cultures for profit, I can't see WDAS wanting to do future PoC features just to avoid controversy & upsetting everyone.
BTW, here is a link for the Moana Little Golden book:

If they stuck to white characters there would be even more controversy. Moral of the story is they can never win, so they should just tell whatever story they want however they want to do it. The rest of the chips will fall where they may.

I love it! The Japanese (and the French) always have some great posters. I can't wait for the Japanese trailer to be released.

Me too! Though I've liked all the posters of
Moana yet, this one was especially lovely.

So, I read a LITTLE bit of the crab scene and Tamatoa sounds pretty good. His song is how beautiful he is. Can NOT wait to hear that!

Have you guys seen the German trailer for

I had seen it, but nobody had posted it here yet. It's great that we are getting so many different international trailers for the film. Normally, the only trailers that are different from the domestic one are the Japanese trailer and maybe a slightly different one from Europe.

Me neither. They rarely disappoint.

Have this poster been posted yet?

Also, I remember rumors about how Moana would show us a new CGI look that was more cartoony than previous Disney movies. At least the rooster looks cartoony. Does the rest look more cartoony than Zootopia and Big Hero 6? I don't know. While there is still room for some minor improvements, Disney is starting to get the hang on it now.
When someone will try to make something new with the Paperman approach remains to be seen.
