Mortal Kombat : Anihilation

Yeah, I know it's a bad movie, but what the heck! I bought it with the first part; this one came as "gift". And it is not that bad. But it is a movie I watch once a year.

Right now I'm watching The Fellowship of the Ring Extended. If I finish it and can do as planned, watch The Two Towers, I'll post it later. 8)

Elf - Funny, but even more moving than funny! It really surpassed my very low expectations.

Le Diner de cons (The Dinner Game) - BRILLIANT! Hilarious!

La Haine (Hate) - Very interesting and somewhat poignant French film on cop-hating thugs. It also packs in a greater societal message in a fairly artsy way. Still, it feels a tad more American than a lot of foreign films, and is perhaps overrated from what I hear, but it's still worth viewing.

Peyton Place was on Turner Classic Movies tonight, and I watched it.

A couple nights ago, I watched Return of the Jedi 1983 original versus Return of the Jedi 2004 butchering, cause I borrowed my aunt's old VHS's from 1995, and did a screen side-by-side comparison. I have a DVD/VHS combo, so I'd have them both play simultaneously, and compare them by flipping constantly. Of course, since Lucas kept adding stuff (like that ridiculous song at Jabba's palace), I would sometimes have to re-play them to get them to synch up again.

So far I've done the comparisons for A New Hope and Return of the Jedi, but I haven't watched Empire Strikes back on DVD yet, just VHS. I like that movie too much to see even the littlest bit changed.

GATTACA. Awesome film. Simply... luff.

And the music (by the very talented Michael Nyman, no less)! Such an emotional ride.
