That moment is gonna get memes made out of it in all the right ways. And I’m here for it.

Well, it was a nice teaser. But unfortunately too short and brief. I liked the destruction of the Disney Castle and the presentation of the logo. And Stitch felt like himself in CGI form.

I also wish that Disney keeps Pleakley's hobby of dressing as a woman. He was so funny, the best gags from the movies are from these scenes in my opinion. Maybe they'll find it offensive but in my opinion it was harmless and was part of Pleakley's personality.
Pleakley is a proud non binary transfem woman

(Explained for non lgbt people here: non binary because she's an alien with no gender structure in her planet so she was not asigned male or female at birth, and transfem woman because in the show and spin-offs she expresses her gender identity and expression all the time as fem/woman and at least in the spanish dub they always used she/her pronouns

The scenes where Pleakley dress like a woman were a gag. That's all. You can interpret it as you want but there was no intention to make him no binary. Bugs Bunny also dressed as a woman in lots of their cartoons as a gag too. It was a recurrent gag in movies but in these days studios can't make it anymore because some people find it offensive and other people believe theories that are not correct.

 This is what happens when people who don't know the subject they're discussing and are only around with an ax to grind post, you get a bunch of stuff that seems completely untethered from reality. (referring to Pokenonbinary's post, to be clear)

Do you think that Disney will replace the original one in merchandise with the LA one? In my opinion he looks more cute and I think that some products like plush toys are going to look better with the LA design.

Ahhh… so we are going to get a recreation of the 2002 ad campaign. Honestly, I’m here for it— that was a great ad campaign.

I don’t think it will replace the animated version. The 2D version is already a huge cash cow from the company. I’m definitely looking forward to the plushes that will come from this remake!

For a future trailer, I’d like to see him invade a scene from Christopher Robin where as soon as the door in the tree in the Hundred Acre Wood opens and Winnie the Pooh stands in front of it and says “Christopher is that you,” Stitch pops out and scared Pooh away, leading him to mischievously laugh and say “silly old bear.”

Lol! Well, at least it`s a synergy, due to how Lilo & Stitch and Moana are about Polynesians.

Actually Bugs Bunny is the first time in cartoon history where Drag is not played as a joke

And in the TV show Pleakley dressing as a woman (why you even you even assume they're a man, since they're an alien and not a human) is treated super respectfuly and everybody respects her identity and pronouns, I don't know if you used to watch the show but nobody made fun of her identity as a woman or fem-coded alien

I dont know how anyone can claim bugs cross dressing is not played as a joke. Just about the only example of cross dressing where its not, imo, is mulan.

There's a difference between a drag character making jokes and being funny, and the show making fun of their drag identity

For example in American Dad, Roger is a funny character and makes jokes but the show itself doesn't treat their gender expression as a joke

Apparently there was an interview Maia Kealoha did during the premiere of Moana 2 and she more or less confirmed Mertle would be in the movie: https://youtube.com/shorts/ddm4SE6lAns? ... HlYcEvcnVw.

Stitch looks 100% amazing

But they're clearly hiding the movie itself, specially Nani actress
