Is it my phone, or have other people just gotten a spinning circle when trying to sign up for Disney+? Maybe I'd have more luck on the computer, but just wondering...

I just tried signing up for Disney+ on my computer, turning off "U Block Origins" program, and I still got just a spinning black circle. I just want to give Disney my $. I even tried clicking the $69.99 button, to see if Disney just didn't want my $6.99, but nope, spinning black circle. There will be an app, right? That's my only hope of accessing Disney+ and the new DMR. :(

Also, for those of you who have already signed up, is there tax? How much?

Hmm, do you think maybe it's your Internet connection? My Internet has been pretty iffy these days and it took a while for me to load with the same spinning circle you described but it finally went through. Strangely enough, when I went to sign up for the $6.99 deal, I got a 7-day free trial starting Nov 12.

I'd keep trying on your phone and computer in the meantime since it does seem to be working.

Why did Disney think the best way to announce their entire Disney+ catalogue was via an unwieldy Twitter thread? Is it perhaps to make a rather paltry offering of less than 600 titles appear more overwhelming?

Edit: a 3 hour video, really? https://youtu.be/m0FRDaHnITI

Who are the bored people who'll watch this entire thing?

They’re just saying “Look at all this content we have!” when they really don’t. The Emperor has no clothes.

I'm shocked that Disney has picked Thumbelina over Anastasia for Disney+ for the time being. In fact, I'm shocked Disney owns the movie. Isn't it Warner Brothers??

Fox obtained the film's rights from Warner back in 2000.

No, not for the past 19 years. 20th Century Fox put out the movie on Blu-ray.

Fun fact about Thumbelina in Sweden: 20th Century Fox bought the film rights to Thumbelina, but did not buy the rights to the Swedish dub from Warner Brothers. Warner Brothers still owns the Swedish dub of the movie. So now with the DVD edition by 20th Century Fox, you can only buy the movie with English language and Swedish subtitles.

Has this happened to other countries too?

Anastasia could still show up-the D+ Twitter account says that more announcements are to be made.

Having skim-read the long list of the things coming to this streaming service, I could not find anything related to the classic shorts, save for "Steamboat Willie", which was displayed on the initial list a few months ago. What's going on? :?

From my perspective, I’m really curious to find out what the official list of 4K content on Disney+ will look like..

Hope it works out for you. Disney has been having a lot of issues with Disney Insiders (the new Disney Movie Rewards) so I wouldn't be surprised if even signing up for Disney Plus poses issues right now.

Me too, I'm not a fan of the Disney version.

I hope so. It's a pretty popular movie and most people think it's Disney anyway so it should be included in the service.

Pulling for Anastasia because it was made in the state I live in (Anastasia was made at Fox's short-lived animation studio in Phoenix, Arizona while I live in Yuma).
