While at Best Buy today I picked up Season 10 American Idol winner Scotty McCreery's new album, "Clear as Day". It is amazing. I truly believe that he is going to be in the same class as Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson. His heart is in the country and sings from his heart.

Used copy of Björk's "Alarm Call" single, so I could finally get the Video Version of the song.

I preordered the Deluxe Edition of Florence and the Machine's Ceremonials on Amazon yesterday (using the UD link, of course):

I already love the two singles that have been released (What The Water Gave Me and Shake It Out) so I'm pretty sure I'll love the rest of the soundtrack. Lungs was brilliant, but I think Ceremonials will be even better.

I should feel a little cheap but... I'm going to wait until I can hear every song for free, then buy the ones I want individually. I haven't plonked down the money for an actual CD from a new artist since Gwen Stefani's solo debut in '04. Just a couple albums through cheap digital downloads.

As for the new album, I'm just being really open minded. It takes me awhile to see what songs I really love ("Rude Boy" is an ideal example- I didn't like that song at all the first 4 or so plays and now I think it's in her top 5 best songs).
