Don't forget, these codes expire today, so you got just a few more hours to enter them in. Happy Halloween! :eye:

Has anyone tried entering a blu-ray code for a DVD they previously entered? I know the website officially says you can only enter one code per title regardless of medium, but I was curious if they actually enforced that.

I assume if they were from two different collections/releases then that wouldn't count. In my case I got Meet The Robinsons as my b-day blu-ray, but it's an upgrade of my DVD whose code I entered two years ago.

Also, if you do enter a code and it's rejected as a duplicate, have you then wasted/expended the code?

They don't enforce it. Last year my brother gave me his points from his Blu-Ray of The Nightmare Before Christmas. I had already entered the points from the DVD, but it gave me no problem entering the points for the Blu-Ray. Since that time, I've upgraded a few DVDs to Blu-Ray and again, I had no problem redeeming points even though I had already received points for the DVD.

Meet the Robinsons is one of the films I upgraded. You should have no problem redeeming the points.

I don't know if they have changed it, but back when The Little Mermaid came out (the first DMR release), I tried to enter the points from my families copy after entering my own and it wouldn't let me. So my brother created an account and entered them and it accepted them. So they definitely didn't flag codes that had been unsuccessfully entered in 2007, but I don't know if they do now.

Thanks for the info, goofystitch! Your successfully double-dipping any blu ray would have been good enough for me; that you actually entered the same one is especially reassuring. :)

hmm, that double dipping thing is good to know if they still have the "Free" dvd for your birthday thing when my birthday comes.

Unfortunately, Tower of Terror did not have any inserts, not even a chapter list (and was not on the list of eligible movies). I'll wait til November 5th to enter my Tinkerbell code.

Oh, and I missed out on the Halloween Scavenger Hunt due to not knowing about it. I did get that 'heart' bonus code like a week ago, though.

I just wish they had announced their double points events a little sooner.

I held out entering a bunch of codes for the better part of year, anticipating another anniversary event like they had last year. When October came without it being announced, I relented and entered most of my remaining codes. Then I entered a couple of new codes as soon as I got the discs... and then they announced the double points!

Mind you this promotion is far better than last year's, where you only got 50 points extra up to four discs only (I assume this one is unlimited?). Luckily I saved a few "heavy hitters" just in case. ;)

I was just looking at the Muppet movies in a local store (The Muppet Movie, The Great Muppet Caper, Muppet Christmas Carol) and notced theey don't have the DMR logo on them. Do they come with a code for points?

I also noticed the new DVD that was released this year Muppets Christmas: Letters to Santa doesn't have the DMR logo on it. Does it come with a code?

No they do not. They were released in 2005 before DMR existed and Disney has yet to modify the packaging to include DMR points.

It does, despite a complete lack of promotion on the package. The code inside gets you 100 points.

They are listed on the DMR site as of 08-11-2009,

Muppet Treasure Island: Kermit's 50th Anniversary Edition - 75
The Great Muppet Caper: Kermit's 50th Anniversary Edition - 75
The Muppet Movie: Kermit's 50th Anniversary Edition DVD - 75
The Muppet Christmas Carol: Kermit's 50th Anniversary - 75
The Muppets' Wizard Of Oz - 100

so you might have to mail off the proof of purchase tab(s) for points

I entered three codes, but only the first one I entered got double points. Is it limited to one code or multiple ones?

This is the message they have in my message box:

Here's a wish come true for you and yours: November 5 is the first Double Points Day in Disney Movie Rewards' A Season Wrapped In Wishes holiday celebration. For every Code entered that day, you'll get Double Points!* (VERY MISS LEADING!)

One more random Double Points Day will be announced prior to December 31, so keep checking your Message Center. Don't miss out!

*Double Points Day #1 begins at 12:00am ET 11/05/09 and ends at 11:59pm ET 11/05/09. Codes can only be used one (1) time. For Disney releases, limit one (1) code per title regardless of media (DVD, Blu-ray, CD, etc.) or method of redemption per Account. Limit: Enrollee cannot enter more than 10 invalid codes within a twenty-four (24) hour period.

I think I interpreted it as being multiple. I'll take another look.

*Edited* Ok I took another look at the message on the DMR site, and it says:
"For every Code entered that day, you'll get Double Points!*"
And the message at the * is:
"*Double Points Day #1 begins at 12:00am ET 11/05/09 and ends at 11:59pm ET 11/05/09. Codes can only be used one (1) time. So yes you should get double points for all codes entered today, or tomorrow if you are in a different time zone. For those of you that got points for only one code, I suggest e-mailing DMR.

If I can get this to work, I'll probably be getting about 1000 points today. 8)

It should be double points for every code we enter. If you're getting hung up on that line you bolded at the bottom, note that it says "limit one code per title regardless of media", i.e. no double-dipping a title -- and even that's apparently not true (see my question at the top of the page).

Hopefully it's just a temporary glitch and not an outright lie in the marketing. If anyone is successful getting double points for more than one title later in the day, please let us know!

I have a few codes saved for reasons like this, I just put in codes for last year's Treasures wave -- I put in Annettee first and got the double points, Dr. Syn however only gave me the standard amount with no doubling! :? I'm holding off on Donald just in case it's a temporary glitch. But that matches what others are saying with how it only doubles one. :? :?

From their FAQ. You should be able to put in 10 codes

What are Double Points Days?

These are two specific, random dates during which members will earn double points for every valid Magic Code they enter, up to a total of ten (10) Magic Codes per date. The dates will be announced in the Message Center, located at DisneyMovieRewards.com, one (1) week in advance. Members are encouraged to check the Message Center daily for information and dates for "Double Points Days." Terms and Conditions apply.

Entered three codes for three movies:
Pirates 2 (1-disc): 100 + 100 points
Hocus Pocus: did not work
The Rescuer's: 75 points only

I emailed DMR. This is what I get for being impatient!
