Your counting the Golden Goose as 2 episodes.
Ducktales had a total of 100 episodes, not 88. I'm pretty sure the multi part episodes were seperate episodes before being cut together to make a feature.
A lot of cartoons did this in the 80's (to name a couple Thundercats with 'Ho! the Movie' and She-ra with 'Secret of the Sword')
Usually bits and pieces are cut to make the feature flow better.
It's useless sites such as TV.com that have it all wrong

Their guides are fan made and usually very inaccurate.
They should have the following episodes listed as episodes 1-5:
1/Don't Give Up The Ship
2/Wrongway to Rongwuay
3/Three Ducks of the Condor
4/Cold Ducks
5/Too Much of a Gold Thing
Treasure of the Golden Suns should be marked as a one off TV special and not part of the main episode guide.
Probably unlikely, but I just hope Disney haven't used TV.com as referrence
Your kidding me right? TVTome was one of the worst sites to go to for accurate information!

Tv.com isn't much better.

I LOVED this one!!!!!!!!!!! Does anyone remeber the Cola Jinggle thay sang?
"Come along, you belong!
To the fizz of Coca Cola"
Yeah that was a good ep!
scroogemcd wrote:No Treasure of the Golden Suns ? Seems a bit stupid !
I agree. It would be very, very stupid for the pilot episodes to not come out on this release! This will totally spoil the set if it isn't on it and will probably put me off buying it for now.
JiminyCrick91 wrote:WELL maybe they are going to release the pilots on differing discs/sets are maybe stand alone DVDs.
I wouldn't mind seperate releases for the multi part stories, however
1/They need to come out in correct order, so the Treasure of the Golden Suns 5-part story would need to be released on DVD before the first regular episode volume. Which is obviously not the case
2/They need to be in episode form (not the TV movie versions!)
So I'm pretty much hoping that the TVshowsondvd episode list is wrong and
Don't give up the Ship, Wrongway to Ronguay, Three Ducks of the Condor, Cold Ducks and Too Much of a Gold Thing are included on the first boxset volume.
If these are not included I won't buy the volume 1 set, at least until the 5-part Treasure of the Golden Suns story is released on DVD. I prefer to watch the series on DVD in the correct order and not have episodes missed out because Disney can't be bothered to do their homework on a series they own.
lis wrote:Well, they can put the 2-hour specials on separate discs and make even more money

Which wouldn't be so bad - I've always wanted to see those epiosodes in their original form.
I just hope they won't try to merge "The firefly fruit contest" miniseries into a movie...
The TV movie versions are not the original form. The seperate episodes are the original form. Again I agree that giving them seperate releases in not a bad thing so long as they are released in the correct order.
Treasure of the Golden Suns needs to be the first release (even before the first volume boxset)
Wonderlicious wrote:Just a question; why has Disney been releasing fact sheets instead of full blown press releases? I understand that not every title will get a 1000 word essay of a press release like
Cinderella, but the fact sheets seem a bit small and ironically titled, as they don't give that many facts.

I agree! Come on it's only around 6 weeks now until these sets come out and we still don't have an episode run down direct from Buena Vista?
What are they playing at? Don't they realise that the buying public usually likes to know what they are buying before purchasing an item!
Come on Disney get your backsides into gear and let us know whether these sets will actually have episodes 1-27 or episodes from all over the place!
They really do need to address the
Treasure of the Golden Suns and To The Rescue question. Will they be on the first volume of each series and if not, Why Not?
Edge wrote:Another scary thought which just occured to me is this.
You have 100 episodes, if you take out the pilot you have 95. If you take out the Bubba duck series you have 90. If you take out the Gizmo Duck 5 parter you now have 85. Minus the 4 parter contest episodes and you have 81 episodes.
This set has 27 episodes. 27 x3 (sets) = 81 episodes.
Which means we'll be seeing the "movies" seperatly. Hope it doesn't happen but with the math it's not impossible.
Stop it, because now you are definately scaring me!
Your calculations make way too much sense!
Edge wrote:For releases that are now less than 8 weeks away there sure hasnt been a lot of news. Which is concerning.
I've read 12 pages of posts and still nobody officially knows the episode running order of the DVD's!
Why won't BVHV release these details, or maybe they have had to do a U-turn with the episode ordering after realising they missed the first 5 episodes out (Don't Give Up the Ship, Wrongway to Rongwuay, Three Ducks of the Condor, Cold Ducks and Too Much of a Gold Thing)
I just wish we could find out once and for all what episodes will be on the Ducktales DVD and what the deal is with the first 5 episodes!
