I can't believe TLM is baaaack!

Okay, after lurking, I've decided to hit #3000 with a post on DVDs purchased:

Desperate Housewives + BB Calendar (and a friend gave me Target's Disc) ($23.99)
repriced Lost Season 1 to $29.99
Always ($9.99)
MallRats ($14.99)

...i think that's it.
I'm excited for next week's DVDs!

I wish I could buy Desperate Housewives and Lost both first season.
But I am going to pre-order DuckTales Volume 1, Chip 'n' Dale: Rescue Rangers Volume 1 and Gargoyles Season 2 Volume 1.
I guess Krystal is a bigger DH and Lost fan then me.

Robots I figured id buy it and hope i liked it, theres quite afew funny bits in it but nothing that great. Im glad i have it though.
National Treasure Another film i hadnt seen but heard good things about so i figured id get it on the sales BTW anyone else in the UK notice the great sales on everywhere at the moment? Anyway awesome film!

Wallace and Gromit: Three Amazing Adventures

Since the "Cracking Contraptions" shorts are in non-anamorphic widescreen, I'm guessing the three main shorts are in P&S? Then again, they were made in the early 90s, so maybe it's the OAR...

ETA: Never mind. I was checking on IMDB, and the three shorts (The Wrong Trousers, A Close Shave, and A Grand Day) are in their OAR of 1.33:1

The US version (the earlier OOP one that wasn't from Dreamworks, I think from 20th Century Fox) is actually the one that's edited. Instead of playing "For he's a jolly good fellow", it played "happy birthday".

The Dreamworks release has the original "for he's a jolly good fellow", so it's the original, not the edited.

Whew, that's good. Now I can buy this DVD knowing that it's unedited and in its' OAR. That's a lot less thinking I have to do. Thanks.

I've only watched the Cracking Contraptions and probably 5 minutes of The Wrong Trousers, but I plan to watch the three shorts entirely this weekend.

Even so I'm still happy with my DVD because that edition has MUCH more bonus features! Plus I'm glad that I didn't have to give money to the evil Jeffrey Katzenberg  to get this great classics!

The Nick Park commentaries, the behind-the-scenes featurettes and the scrapbooks and photo galleries are all gone.

In fact the only bonus features this new release has that the older one DOESN'T have are the “Cracking Contraptions” and the sneak peak at "The Curse of the Were-Rabbit".

As you can see, Dreamworks cares about their costumors!

As for IMDB, I'm 100% sure it's a typo. I just watched The Wrong Trousers on the DVD release and it played "For He's A Jolly Good Fellow".

Damn...maybe I should start hunting for the older release. Still, I like Cracking Contraptions, so that's one reason to keep the current one.

Picked up Robots and Wal-Mart, When I was leaving I came across a pallet of 4.88 dvds. They do this a few times a year.
Anyway I picked up:
Ave Ventura- When Nature Calls- Got the first one last time they had this sale
and
The Road Warrior- The second film in the Mad Max Trilogy.
Any way there were around 30 - 40 titles, some of them good ones. I wil go back this weekend and get Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome, the first one was not there, Other movies I remember seeing include Willard, Eight Legged Freaks, Dungeon and Dragons ( may get this one), Man without a face, Battlefield Earth, are a few I can remember seeing there
