I'm so pleased that the ratings are tanking. Hopefully ABC will finally put this show out of its misery.

I liked it, too, and agree, I would have done it for me and my child. I thought Victora would have held up her end of the bargain but with that smile when Lucy came, maybe not.

Yea I didn't like that Cinderella, who's supposed to be one of the kindest characters ever, did that.

Which makes the concept of alternate fairytale characters kind of pointless. They could have used this new season to introduce any number of fairytale or Disney characters who had yet to appear on the show. It would have been much more original and creative than redoing stories of characters we had already seen. I believe they went with Cinderella because they needed the princess/evil stepmother relationship the fairytale offers in order for season 7 to parallel season 1 as much as possible.

The casting hasn't helped either. Everyone's complaining about how awful Cinderella's actress is. The little girl comes in a close second.

It's clear the only thing this season had in common with the live-action remake of Cinderella was some of the names, hair, and costumes.

She guessed that Henry went to the cemetery but he told her off-screen about his family being buried in a cemetery in Hyperion Heights he never visited before. Here's what Lucy said verbatim: "Then tell me what happened when you went to the cemetery where you said your wife and daughter were buried? The cemetery you said you never went to? Well? I bet you did after we met so, what did you find?"

Okay, a couple things. Spoilers at first.
Regarding Rumple and Belle during tonight's episode. I think it's official, they've thrown an supposed timeline that was suppose to exist out the Window, or Henry really old and hasn't aged in this New Realm?,

Easter egg costumes of The Incredibles, Snow White and Elsa were, well idk.

Speaking of Pixar, did anyone notice the music as Rumple and Belle built their house, the location and the look of the house, and a similiair setting. Well, Belle and Rumple have went from Beauty and the Beast to Carl Fredrickson and Ellie Fredrickson from Pixar's Up... ... ... .... ... ... ... .. ... ... ... ... ..

Moving on, seems the Alternative Alice has woke Rumple up from his cursed life. I'm sorry, I can't get my mind of how Belle's end was basically similair to Pixar's up. Speaking of that, um, how is Gideon still a young adult like in the first season, and like I said,
how old does that make Henry?!?! Did they just throw continuity timeline completely out the window?!


With that said, I thought it was a solid episode other then the fact, I'm sorry, Up... Idk what to say.[/spoiler]

Live-blogging:

— Is Alice the White Rabbit as well?

— Alice is the new gay character. They went with the safest choice possible.

— Is this the first ever Halloween-themed episode they've done?

— at Alice scaring the bejesus out of Victoria.

— Whatever happened to doctor-patient confidentiality? Is everyone in Victoria's pocket?

— Roni: "I call it the poisoned apple". Very subtle.

— Could Alice be Wish Hook's daughter? They're certainly hinting at that.

— I'm glad Rumple finally wants to get rid of his curse. It's been long overdue. They should have never turned him back into the Dark One post-5A. I guess True Love's Kiss can't break the curse after it was fortified with the power of past Dark Ones.

— Did Gideon say he was accepted into the Elf Academy?

— Alice is "awake" but the pills Victoria's feeding her is what's making her forget.

— The montage sequence based on Pixar's Up is so cheesy.

— Are they killing off Belle à la Ellie Fredricksen?

— Belle spent the rest of her life in a land where the sun doesn't set, in the same house with nothing to do, nowhere to go, without any other people around, without her friends. That doesn't sound like a happy life to me.

— I like they're making Ivy into a more complex character than just the stock 'bitch'.

— I really hope they don't make Ivy have romantic feelings for Henry. It'll be much more interesting and refreshing having them just be friends.

— I can't believe they killed off Belle. She's the first Disney Princess they've done that to. They had her killed in the Wish Realm as well.

— Robert Carlyle's acting his ass off in a very emotional scene.

— So, Rumple's quest this season is to break the curse so he can become mortal and die in order to be reunited with Belle in the afterlife. That's...jovial.

— If Rumple becomes mortal, will he wait to die of old age or will he kill himself so as to be reunited with Belle sooner? I hope he waits for Gideon's sake.

— The White Rabbit is just a regular white rabbit? Couldn't they afford to make him a real character?

— Is Alice the Guardian?

— Alice killed Chip!

— Rumple's awake both literally and figuratively.

I tuned into a piece of the episode (the scene with Alice and the stepmother in the car). I'm wondering if this Alice is supposed to be related to Zelena somehow? They have such similar features.

I wish I'd watched the rest to see the Up references. I've been wanting them to ex out Belle for 2-3 seasons, and they finally do it when I'm not even paying attention anymore.

I love the UP reference! I'm confused: Gideon was 18 at the library scene. How the heck did Belle age so so quickly?!

I. freaking. love. Alice. She's exactly what I imagine her to be if she lived in our time

Belle's death was sad and this is coming from someone who lost interest in her long ago. But I agree that it was a blatant rip-off of Up and even the house looked just like Carl and Ellie's. Also glad that finally Rumple is no longer the Dark One. Although this show has done that several times before, it's obviously never lasted but for the first time, it seems like he won't regress back into that role. Hope I don't jinx it.

Q: I loved seeing Jacinda and Regina interact on Once Upon a Time. Will there be more of that?

A: Yes, you’ll get more of them in upcoming episodes — though I will note that this week’s hour is very Roni and Henry heavy. “Jacinda and Regina have a lot of similarities,” Dania Ramirez says. “They share a maternal instinct that whether you have a kid or you don’t have a kid or whatever that journey is, I think she’s very loving and encouraging, and I feel like she’s so far been a real rock for Jacinda, and has helped her find strength at times that she has wanted to give up.” Possibly related, but potentially not: More questions about who really is awake from the curse will be addressed during Friday’s hour.

Q: What’s next in Once Upon a Time‘s Ivy/Henry relationship? I loved seeing these two interact in the last episode.

A: As you may have surmised by the way Ivy smoldered at Henry over drinks, “She has her sights set on him,” says co-creator Eddy Kitsis. “How he feels about it, we’ll have to wait and see. But she definitely seems like she is interested.” And given the Jacinda/Cinderella of it all, “There is some conflict to come!”

Thank you Sotiris! I liked that look at the costumes! Though I hate when they reuse costumes (the one from the Huntsman).

I really liked this episode. Honestly the only thing I didn't like about it (other than Cinderella and her daughters' acting) was Alice. I don't know if I find her trying too hard to be weird and crazy or if I just find her annoying. All I liked about the character was her actions. Her actual acting I hate. I wish it was a different actress.

I'm glad Ivy is turning more 3-dimensional as well.

I know that the ending was a lot like Up, but I saw it as it's own thing. I really liked it. I suppose like Sotiris said, Belle didn't exactly have everything you'd want in your last few...years (?!), but with Rumple and Gideon by her side and books and a lifetime of adventure before that, I think she was pretty happy.

Sotiris, I forget what the subtitle said but no, Gideon isn't going to Elf Academy!

I checked and it turns out it's the "Elphame Academy". Er, potayto-potahto.

Google says the name comes from an elfin/fairy queen of Scottish folklore so you were kind of right.
