Last week at The new Second City theatre in Toronto I saw the new show and got a very nice coffee table book. The book was marked down from $45+tax US and I got it there for $10 even. Yes I do know this is the CD Thread but the book came with not one but 2 CDs of Second City Comedy from 1959-2000.

yeah, pull your jaws up off the floor. My first (new) CD purchase of 2006. In April. Which might tell you about the state of music at this point.

If you do not all rush out to the stores to buy this on Tuesday, your lives will be incomplete.
And if you don't already have this, then what you do have is a problem. A problem that can be solved with $10 at Best Buy.

Well, I didn't actually make it to the shops until today, but it was at the top of my list.
So I got myself:
The Flaming Lips - At War with The Mystics
and I'd have to agree with Incrediholics Anonymous about this CD. Buy it, buy it, buy it.
I didn't get Prince (yet), but I did pick up a local release by The Grates. Their debut album in fact.
The Grates - Gravity Won't Get You High
Currently transferring them to my newly acquired MP3 player

I'm thinking of re-buying that and With Teeth just to hear them remixed in 5.1.
I just got
My Latest Novel - Wolves.
The name of the band makes them sound like an 'emo/punk' band, but they are actually a Glaswegian folk/post-rock band. Really great. Some have compared them to the Arcade Fire...

Tool - 10,000 Days
Bought this more out of habit than anything else. I have all their other records. Sounds pretty much like all of the others, with no real departure. Maynard James Keenan remains, as always, a saving grace.

I bought Morrissey's "Ringleader of the Tormentors" the day it came out (4/4/06) and I've been listening to it nonstop. Brilliant.
