For me it would be Alice in wonderland and The sword in the stone.
When I'm watching Alice, I always fall asleep and I didn't even watch it till the end when I tried to watch it the last time.
I think the character of Alice is so boring because there's really nothing special about her.

I will give the film another chance eventually, but I guess I'll never really like it very much.

Um, voiceroy, just drop the subject of CL. It is a great film and you just half to agree because it is. Those polls or whatever on the other websites, I'm POSITIVE, that only about 1/20 (probably much less) of the people who actually see the film post it on one of those websites so that isn't accurate at all. Most of the people who saw it were children and could not possibly vote for anything on a computer, or use a computer for that matter. So just drop it and accept it.

Oy, I knew I was going to get rocks thrown at me for saying that. The point I was trying to make was that I don't care for movies that are dark and depressing. Which, in my opinion, Hunchback definitely is. I only mentioned children because I'm sure many kids are frightened by some parts.

I do understand that it stays true to the original story, which is a positive element. Unfortunately, that particular story just isn't my cup of tea.

Haven't seen Home on the Range or any of the package fioms barring fun and fancy free and ichabod and mr toad, so i won't class them. but the 5 worst disney classics in my opinion are, in reverse order


5. Emperor's new groove - actually though it was ok, but not as good as the others

4. Rescuers down under - again, didn't htink it was all that bad, just not very good

3. Hunchback of Notre Dame - story did absolutely nothing for me

2. Pocahontas - a horribly boring film

1. Chicken little - still upset i paid money to see it at the cinema, third rate in every way

i see that many are going for 70's/ 80's films on here, but i have to say that i quite like most from that era. Plus sword in the stone and the great mouse detective are two of my all time favourites

No, I don't have to agree. That's the great thing about having an opinion. And just because you believe yours is right, doesn't make it so.

I'm only dropping the subject because it's pointless to carry it on any further. No point in arguing with someone who rejects accepted criteria and standards for judging what a "great film" is, and with overwhelming statistical evidence too.

Chicken Little is an adorable movie with a very fun soundtrack!

Anyway, I'm not found of Pinocchio or Home on the Range. There are some movies I like well enough, but I know people who play them over and over, so I've gotten sick of them.

I believe it was in one of those threads where someone got offended at my opinion on "Chicken Little" because I didn't like it, arguing that it's a "classic" and a "great film" without any genuine evidence to back it up.

I will not be pulled into such a pointless discussion again.

That being said, there really aren't any of Disney's animated features that I absolutely "hated" ("hate" is such a strong word), but there are definitely a couple I really didn't like:

- Pocahontas: for the numerous historical inaccuracies. And I refuse to watch the sequel for the same reason. Don't believe the hype: the true story of Pocahontas bears only slight similarities to Disney's animated versions. Otherwise, most of it either never happened or facts were distorted and altered to suit their needs.

- Chicken Little: because it's a cliché-ridden, poorly-plotted, Pixar wannabe.

And both threads continued to have posts through March of '07 and the end of '06, respectively. Okay, so I was off on the date a little in my first post, but a simple forum search would've prevented this duplicate thread.

You of all members should know that threads like this wouldn't keep getting repeated if people would search for related threads first. These were just the first two threads I found from forum search on "least favorite", "hate", and "dislike". There's probably more, but I figured two would get the point across that it's a common topic.

Wait a minute, Voiceroy, I'm confused. Are you complaining that this thread is a duplicate or that the other two threads are duplicates? Because bumping this old thread up to complain about newer duplicated threads doesn't make any sense to me. As Escapay pointed out, this thread was created in 2003, and therefore is not a duplicate. At any rate, what's the point of bumping this thread up (which was last posted in January 2006) to complain about people not searching? It would have been better to bump the duplicate threads up with a link to this thread instead of the other way around.

And on the first page of topic 19113, I pointed out the 2003 thread. Topic 16367 (least favorite Platinum) I didn't point out the thread because it wasn't necessarily the same discussion.

I admit, I do get annoyed at new topics coming up when people can easily do a search. I simply pointed out to you this thread was from 2003 because your post made it seem that this thread came after the two you cited. Of course, I don't mind the complaint about people not doing searches (my main petpeeve for online forums), but I kinda felt a little offended/insulted by the remark "you of all members should know...". Almost as if it were my fault that I didn't bump up this thread sooner to remind a mod to merge with one of the other threads.

Agreed. The other two topics seem broad enough for me to leave them alone. Widdi's thread, though, should and has been merged with this one.

This one, I'm going to leave alone as it specifically deals with the Platinum line.

It's hard to classify a film as "worst" as all but the most horrid flicks have some fun or enjoyable parts.

My guess is the younger crowd will like CHICKEN LITTLE (and similars) as it has a fair bit of MTV, fast cut, hip/rap attitude dispersed throughout it. Expect more of that with upcoming features.

This boomer is used to the slower pace of the original Disney classics (but yes, BAMBI and SLEEPING BEAUTY can be a tad slow at times).

Here're my list of the top 10 worst Disney films:

10. Chicken Little (2005) - I don't hate it, but just the parts that had the lamest parts ever. You feel like watching some movie that Looney Tunes from Warner Bros. made rather than a real animated movie.
9. Tarzan (1999) - Disney killed Tarzan! SHAME ON YOU 2, KEVIN LIMA & CHRIS BUCK FOR MAKING THIS FILM!
8. Pochahontas (1995) - *YAWN* No comment here.
7. Treasure Planet (2002) - You think this movie's gonna rock? Think again. It had characters that bore you and a climax that can snore you.
6. The Aristocats (1970) - I used to love this film, but I think it's boring. It's not based on a book. It might be a pun of the Aristocrat jazz, comedy, bar, etc.
5. Alice in Wonderland (1951) - What a dumb excuse for a Disney movie! I didn't have the taste buds of that film (because I'm a boy) when I was a 1-year-old guy. Alice is a drug-addict who wants to be in the movie. She needs to be in the loony bin. Excellent!
4. Peter Pan (1953) - MAN! I can love, IF I WAS A LITTLE KID! This is dumber than the retarded R2-D2 (Not the regular from Star Wars), and I'm serious.
3. The Little Mermaid (1989) - I am a boy, and I can hate this movie whatever I want, but still, it might be dumb to what am I going to say, but my opinion is to hate this.
2. Melody Time (1948) - It used to be fun, but now, IT'S GETTING OLD! Melody Time is my choise of terrible-ness. I am not kidding.
1. Fun & Fancy-Free (1947) - What is fancy-free? Not to love or immagination. BOTH! Because I hated or should I said, Fancy-Free this film. That's my opinion.

So, that's my top 10 worst Disney films, and good night.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaggggggh. I need to do an entire write up on why Alice is NOT a drug addict and how it's not based off of an acid trip. So the catapiller smokes a Hookah pipe....big deal...lot's of people do that and they're not smoking weed or getting high off of anything. A lot of people think of the movie as some drugged out altered world and it's not at all...but if you don't like it for what it is then thats fine. I just get annoyed of how often people think of it as something it's not. Aaaghh So Lewis Carroll was an Opium addict and some of those experiences might have influenced the story..that doesn't mean the Disney version does..wheres the eyeroll...oh here it is..

For me I think it might be Oliver and Company. I do enjoy it, but its biggest flaw is that it is not timeless. There are too many 80s references in it.
