My petty answer would be "hopefully never," but I don't think you'd appreciate that. Right now with Corona increasing all over the world, I can't imagine it'll happen anytime soon. When the big-budget Disney films resume production, then you can imagine it'll be the same for smaller films like these. If they go the route of using CGI for all the scenes instead of shooting on-location, then they could probably start on this earlier.DisneyFan97 wrote:When Do you supose this movie will actually start filming?
That’s sad, won’t Corona ever end ??JeanGreyForever wrote:My petty answer would be "hopefully never," but I don't think you'd appreciate that. Source: https://flaunt.com/content/ever-andersonQ: When was the last time you felt invincible?
Ever Anderson: Well that’s easy for me to answer. Two days ago when I found out after a month of waiting that I got the part of “Wendy” in Disney’s Peter and Wendy, which is basically the story of Peter Pan!!
Q: That’s incredible! You must be so excited.
Ever Anderson: I am. I just feel like Wendy, the girl that doesn’t ever want to grow up! I wanted this part so bad, it’s all I could think about.
Q: How did you find out you had won the role of Wendy?
Ever Anderson: I was having a sleepover at my best friend’s house when my parents called me on FaceTime. My mom asked if I was alone, so I took myself into a closet where I could have some privacy. My mom stared at me for a long moment with a very serious face and then broke into a huge smile and said, ‘YOU GOT THE PART!’ I screamed at the top of my lungs, and my best friend immediately knew why I was so excited. I worked really hard perfecting my British accent and I can’t wait to start filming. I’ll be shooting all summer.
Q: Have you shared it with anyone else?
Ever Anderson: Everyone in my family knows and there is a teacher at school who knew that I was up for the role, so I told her. And now I have told you.

Shahidi joins Jude Law, who will play Captain Hook, as well as Alexander Molony and Ever Anderson, who will play the title characters. Lowery is on board to direct the project and also co-wrote the script with Toby Halbrooks. Jim Whitaker is producing. Sources say the release is expected to be theatrical and not go the Disney+ streaming route.
Source: https://thedisinsider.com/2020/09/25/ya ... peter-pan/Disney tried booking big names for the role as the studio also took interest in Margot Robbie, who took a role in the studios’ Pirates of the Caribbean reboot, Scarlett Johansson, Taylor Swift, and Zendaya. Peter Pan is expected to start filming under the working title Bonfire in Vancouver, Canada on March 8, 2021, and should wrap by June 30, 2021.

I wouldn't be surprised if she was never considered. The DisInsider is not always reliable.D82 wrote:Maybe the rumors about Margot Robbie weren't true after all and they always considered an actress of color for the role given that they wanted to have a diverse cast.
