I saw this! I saw this with two of my friends last night! It was actually really good! I was surprised! I thought all the new songs were good except "What Do You Know About Love" which I hate. The sets and costumes are really good. And the acting was all phenomonal except for Hans and Kristoff who were not the original cast. Hans was really bad, it was like he didn't want to be there lol. Patti Murin's acting was especially good, when I thought she looked too old to be Anna and that she would be bad because...I dunno she looked kind of dumb. But she was perfect. She was so freaking funny! Caissie Levy was very good as a serious and emotional Elsa. The special effects were phenomenal, and the climax was pretty good, except that I hated the repurposing of parts of earlier songs in the climax, making happy songs sound bad. Also, I didn't get how Kristoff tells Anna she can't love Hans, then has a moment where he feels he loves her...then takes her to Hans for true love's kiss?!!!! Unless he wasn't saying she didn't love Hans, but that she should get to know him better before she marries him. I guess I should have paid more attention to the lyrics. Oh well. Anyway, I recommend the show!

That's great that you got an opportunity to watch the show. Did you think it was an improvement over the movie or not? Too bad about Kristoff and especially Hans. To be fair, the Kristoff-Anna relationship is really underdeveloped even in the movie, so I'm not surprised that the Broadway show seems to incoherently portray it as well. I always felt it was a mistake for Anna to fall in love with the very first man she met after Hans, especially when Disney seems to be poking fun at falling in love at first sight.

I would say the original film is still better. Almost all the songs are good (I just don't like "Fixer-Upper"), and I think all the Broadway show improves on is the relationship between Anna and Elsa. I like Hans and Kristoff in relation to Anna better in the movie.

The standbys for Anna and Elsa sing the duet version of Let It Go. They're so good!

The North American tour is adding a new Anna/Elsa duet called "I Can't Lose You". Fingers crossed we get a studio recording of the song.
Kristen Anderson-Lopez wrote:Tonight we launch our Frozen tour and this will be the 1st audience to hear a NEW Anna and Elsa duet called “I Can’t Lose You”. We were lucky enough to see Caroline Bowman and Caroline Innerbichler rehearse it and it gave us all the feels. Hope you guys enjoy it! Wishing the cast, crew and audience in Schenectady a magical show and a happy world premiere of this song into which we put all of our heart.

Were there ever studio recordings of "Daddy's Little Angel" or "A Change in Me"? I've only heard the latter because of On the Record. I don't really expect it here. I hope I can hear it in some form though, at least once.

They also cut True Love for the NA tour, which I think is a hideous and misguided decision, as it is, hands down, the best song ever composed for anything related to Frozen.

I don't think we'll get a studio recording, but maybe a youtube video like the ones they did for summer? I can see they releasing it as a farewell to Caissie and Patti.

I don't recall a studio recording for Daddy's Little Angel (at least not in English), but Susan Egan recorded A Change in Me for one of her albums.

Oh, wow, really? :o "True Love" and "Dangerous to Dream" are both gorgeous, and perfect for their respective characters. "True Love" in particular helps to fill out the second half, post-"Let It Go". They should've cut any of the other new songs before ever touching that one.

Thank you! Another album to add to my To Buy list. :)

I'm surprised they're cutting True Love since it's Kristen's favorite song written for the stage adaptation. You'd think she would have objected to that.

Yes, we'll probably just get a YouTube performance of the song like Letter from the Refuge got when Newsies went on tour. I'm just counting on Frozen's popularity and Disney's greed for a digital release of a studio recording.

What do they mean by "bespoke moments"?
Many other changes are being proposed for London. Grandage said he and the creative team, that includes writer Jennifer Lee, choreographer Rob Ashford and designer Christopher Oram, want to introduce 'bespoke moments' just for the West End. 'It will be the most evolved version of Frozen anywhere,' he said.
