It seems Aurora's song won't be the only cover of "Baby Mine" featured in the film. Disney has released a new sneak peek that features another version of the song by Canadian band Arcade Fire.

Here are more details. According to that article, the song will play over the end-credits. Does this mean Aurora's version will be heard during the scene with Dumbo and his mother? Because I don't think the two versions of "Baby Mine" will play back to back over the credits.

That's odd. Do we really need two covers of the same song in the same movie? Talk about overkill. It could be that Aurora's rendition was only produced for the trailer and won't be featured in the film. I hope that's not the case. I hope it's like you said and Aurora's cover will be played during the Baby Mine sequence in the actual film. I can't say that I liked Arcade Fire's version. Aurora's is more beautiful, haunting, and ethereal and captures the emotional aspect of the song much better.

I don't know if it was added later or I just missed that part somehow yesterday, but according to the article I posted, Sharon Rooney, who portrays Miss Atlantis in the film, is the one who performs the song in the actual movie. So, Aurora's version won't be played during that scene.

Maybe it was only produced for the trailers then as you mentioned, Sotiris, but I think it's a bit strange that Aurora would promote the song at the Brazilian Comic Con if it was going to be used just for the trailers. She even said in an interview at the convention that her song would be in the movie. However, it seems unlikely that the two versions of "Baby Mine" will play during the end-credits. Could it be that Disney has decided to replace it with this new cover for some reason? That would be a shame.

I think the snippet we got from Arcade Fire's cover is too short for me to judge, but I agree about everything you said about Aurora's version.

The Arcade Fire one is the wrong emotion. I don't think I would even call that emotion.

Also, according to The Hollywood Reporter, the film is tracking for a domestic opening of $50-$60 million. If these forecasts are accurate, it wouldn't be a bad opening.

^It's a respectable opening though I'm sure Disney was expecting more.

New posters, featurette, and TV spot.

And it seems Japan has its own version of "Baby Mine". Here's a sneak peek at the song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b3-D5oHlUF0

Arcade Fire’s version is…fine. Nothing bad about it, just a little weird—which might’ve been the intent considering the movie itself seems a little weird. The music video freaked me out though. All those close-up shots of Dumbo are unsettling for some reason… I like Aurora’s a little better, even if I was disappointed in hers after we’d heard the full thing.

There are some people who actually find Dumbo himself to look terrifying, because of his eyes. Blue eyes aren't natural for an elephant.

Maybe the eyes are the reason for me. I don't know, the design reminds me of E.T.

Remember, this film is coming from the same writer of a movie that had the line, "I am directly below the enemy's scrotum."

The soundtrack tracklist has been revealed. As I suspected, Aurora's version of "Baby Mine" is not included. The only songs in the soundtrack are the version performed by actress Sharon Rooney in the film and Arcade Fire's one. I hope Aurora's cover is also released somehow and we can listen to the song in its entirety and in good quality.

The 3rd poster: "It's the Dumbo signal!"

But seriously all those posters are cool or beautiful.
