These are all available to order in dvd packaging as well as blu-ray packaging according to the Disney Movie Club online. They should be available that way elsewhere.

Hmm, would you be able to tell me if they still sell Treasure Planet and Home On The Range in DVD packaging?

I might consider signing up to DMC, to order these editions in october when I'm on holiday in the US... unfortunately they don't ship to Europe...

Just bought the Aladdin bluray, amazing picture quality and sound, but not much special features. I can also confirm its region free. Anyone interested in getting it can get it from Aido.com.
I'm so glad they chose the old VHS artwork, makes me feel very nostalgic.

In case anyone cares, the DVD of Brother Bear included in the Blu-ray set is the same disc as Disc 1 of the old 2-disc DVD set.

This is contrary to the specs on the back of the case. The specs list the DVD aspect ratio as 2.35:1 and 1.66:1, but since it's the first DVD it's actually the 1.66:1 only version. On the plus side, this disc has the games and visual commentary on it and the Blu-ray doesn't have the games and only includes the audio portion of the commentary.

Clay Aiken

It also has the Making of Aladdin: "A diamond in a rough" and a commentary (Filmakers, I believe). Didn't explore much into but I think thats about it.

I have this coming to me in the mail, and this is disappointing news. I want the film in its correct aspect ration on both blu-ray and dvd, not just on blu-ray.

Disney sure is messing up these things lately. I hope they are willing to replace the disc as they are with Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

I doubt they'll replace it. The bonus features they list for the DVD are correct (though incomplete). This appears to be an aspect ratio typo and not the wrong disc being included. Also, let's be honest here. Roger Rabbit is a high profile release and Brother Bear is just a catalog release that will probably sell less copies in the next year than Roger Rabbit will sell its first week.

There's also a slight confusion about the blu-ray too because it doesn't have the notation about the changing aspect ratio and only lists it as being 2.35:1 when it is framed just like Disc 2 of the previous DVD set changing from 1.85:1 (within a 2.35:1 frame) to a full 2.35:1 framing at about the 24 minute mark.

Nothing's wrong with the Blu-ray. The DVD copy however is presented in full screen and it doesn't include the Valiant Files (as advertised on the cover) nor French and Spanish subtitles. You can a replacement by contacting Disney. It should also be noted though that the case promises the ToonTown Confidential trivia track for the Blu-ray disc but it's not present.

I've also read on Blu-ray.com's forums that some people are finding new stock that has the corrected DVD at Best Buy. It seems that the new stock is missing the slipcover.

Disney home entertainment has given up completely.

Just got Aladdin, Mulan and Hunchback today. Barebones, but they'll do. Picture quality is amazing on all three.

While I understand everything you stated, I disagree with the opinion that "Roger Rabbit is a high profile release and Brother Bear is just a catalog release...." They are both catalog releases, but whether they are or not has no bearing on Disney's quality control issues. The contents should reflect what is listed on the package regardless of the popularity of the title. In this day and age, it's not too much to expect both discs to contain the original aspect as that has become the standard, and in this case, it is what Disney stated on the package for the dvd specs. It's inappropriate for us to just settle for lack of quality control because a title appears more or less popular than another. By the way, Brother Bear is one of my favorite animated movies, and its fans deserve the same as fans of any other movie.

Unfortunately, the digital copies included with combo packs don't include the iTunes extras. Heck, it's not even for the HD copy of the film, which is ridiculous in my opinion.

However, it has happened in the past where I have re-downloaded the Princess and the Frog digital copy that I redeemed, and it came with iTunes extras. I haven't been able to repeat it, though, so I think it was just a fluke.

It's inappropriate for us to just settle for lack of quality control because a title appears more or less popular than another.

Agreed! I didn't know that Brother Bear had this issue. (I was planning on importing the U.K. edition.)

What pisses me off is the fact that Disney didn't press a new DVD for Hunchback. They just stuck the old 2002 DVD in there. Mulan gets a new pressing, Mulan, which already received a digitally-sourced DVD a few years ago, but Hunchback, which NEEDED it, doesn't? It's infuriating.

The static menu and lack of bonus features, lack of disc art, inclusion of the sequel... I could have lived with all that. But no new transfer on the DVD? That's just stunningly lazy on Disney's part.

When I downloaded The Lion King digital copy I actually did get Itunes Extras. However I didn't with Wreck It Ralph or Peter panbut I did get th extras when I downloaded Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 2. So I guess Disney stopped doing it?

See, now what the heck. When I redeemed my Lion King digital copy I got nothing but the standard definition file. No extras. I don't think they know what's going on.
