Three months, I know.
Hopefully, Kurt's future boyfriend will be there for the season premier.

*Spoilers*
This week's episode was really great, with easily the best handled dramatic moments of the season when dealing with Artie. Just simple dialogue exchanges that felt like real conversations and no silly humor to undermine any of the moments. Plus some wonderful musical segments like "Dream a Little Dream of Me".
But I loved the "Safety Dance" in the mall too, for it felt appropriately big given it was daydreaming.
Too bad next week's episode is all Lady Gaga with what appears to be over-the-top craziness.

I agree. "I Dreamed A Dream"...OMG amazing. Had to leave a comment about that. I love when the show gives these well-produced moments. I think the last one was the ballet dance to "Total Eclipse of the Hearts" (loved the parts they gave to the guys). But, really, I don't know why the show didn't go off after the Menzel-Michel scene. The Archie stuff just fell flat after I watched that amazing scene.
Anyway, I'm glad Lady Gaga will have some songs on there. I like when the show goes back and forth between the zaniness and drama.
But NPH + Jane Lynch = Kind of Ew.

Last night's episode was definitely one of the better of the last 9 (well, as far as I can tell; of course, there are 3 more episodes left). "I Dreamed A Dream" and "Dream On" were fantastic and I really enjoyed the other songs as well. Overall, it was a pretty awesome episode. "Bad Romance" is sure to be good (have you seen the costumes?) and "Poker Face" is a great duet between Lea and Idina. I've only heard "Beth," and it's an okay song, but nothing special or over the top. I can't wait to hear "Shout It Out Loud" and "Funny Girl" (Idina!). They should be pretty good too. Can't wait for next week!

I must be too old for this show, because I haven't heard a song on the show that they haven't ruined in some way or another.
Last night's show was terrible as far as the music goes. Neil Patrick Harris was okay and I know he can sing, but doing "Dream On", c'mon that is definitely not a song to ruin they way they did.
I love the show "Glee", but I wish it were more about the school instead of all the guest stars and keeping up with the pop charts.

The only way I explain how differently I feel is that: You must not like musical theater. True, some of their songs have been ho-hum (I hate when they sing the song exactly like the original--like "No Air," etc.--or when there's been a heavy dose of autotune), but they've had some incredible ones, too. Basically any Madonna song has been better than the original. And I loved how they blended "Halo" with "Walking On Sunshine" or "It's My Life" with that Usher song. It doesn't hurt that most everyone in the cast has a fantastic voice (particularly Lea Michele).
I personally thought "Dream On" was done pretty well, but there was supposed to be an edge of comedy to it. So it might've not been to your taste. (The same thing as with "Vogue" and Jane Lynch) But I thought NPH hit those high notes perfectly.

Loved this week's episode. Artie is one of my favourite characters on the show and when he gets top billing for an episode I always love it. "Safety Dance" was fantastic. I was hoping they would do a dream sequence where Artie gets out of the chair and actually dances since the actor is a trained dancer.
Being a huge NPH fan I was surprised that his and Will's storyline was the low point of the episode for me. "Piano Man" was terrible, "Dream On" not much better. The whole character of Bryan Ryan didn't sit well with me. It was like I was watching a male, less funny, version of Sue... Though the gay man in me was kinda hoping Will and Bryan would patch things up over a hot makeout session... XD
Idina as Rachel's mom is total fanservice. Not that that is a bad thing, though I still kinda feel like it's all some big plot to steal Rachel and make her the lead of Vocal Adrenaline. I dunno, guess we'll have to just wait and see.
The dramatic bits were handled really well this week. It was nice to see Emma involved in a scene without Will.
Can't wait for next week. Kurt singing lead on "Bad Romance" along with another Idina/Leah duet that will likely amaze me (I haven't bought the new CD yet so I haven't heard it). Plus have you seen the kids in their Gaga-gear? Fantastic.

Recently got back and first thing I did was watch this week's episode- stunning! Artie's dramatic scenes were something to watch, and "I Dreamed a Dream" gave me goosebumps.

Don't know if this has been mentioned but...

70 bucks? Ugh. I'll probably just wait until the price is lowered on amazon.com or something by the time Christmas rolls around.

I'm annoyed they aren't bringing out a Volume 2 with the last nine episodes on it. I just bought volume one less than a month ago for 40 bucks. A ten dollar coupon doesn't make it worth the purchase...

$70 seems the normal SRP for hourlong season sets on Blu-Ray. I'm sure first-week sales will have it and the DVD at lower prices.
I skipped out on Volume 1 so I'll be purchasing the season set in September.

I'm definitely purchasing the Blu-ray the first day! I just hope that they port over all of the other extras from Volume 1 because everywhere that I've read, it doesn't mention those extras (though I would assume that they would; but, of course, you know what happens when you assume something...). I'm super excited for this release (along with the complete series of
Lost) I just need to get a job first so that I can pay for it

NEWS:
Glee has just been picked up for a
third season. (source (though you could probably just google it:
http://www.tvsquad.com/2010/05/23/glee- ... rd-season/)
On the other stuff, I didn't get the midseason DVD release 1) because I knew they wouldn't give a DVD with just the 2nd half of the season lateron, and 2) it was way over-priced. It was $30-32 when it should've been $25. And if that DVD set of the whole 1st season doesn't come down to $50, I'm not getting it either. They really try to leech the life out of whatever's big.

Amazon, my friend. They still have Volume 1 for $20, I think. They'll probably bring down Season 1 a lot too.

Tonight's episode was okay. Yeah, just okay. I know it's probably important to others, but I really just don't care for the Kurt storyline. It seems like it's just placed in there to take up time (of course, that's just my opinion). On a different note, there was more Lea and Idina action and that was superb. I really liked
Funny Girl and
Poker Face (and I'm happy that they did the full version of
Poker Face). The Kiss numbers were pretty good, too, considering that I don't really know that many/any Kiss songs.
Bad Romance was good, too, but I wish that it was just the girls (but whatever). And where was Jesse? I saw a picture of him in the Vocal Adrenaline red outfits somewhere online (so I guess he's back with VA?). Oh well, we knew he was going back anyway.
Funk looks like it's gonna be a fun one (Sue's back!). Only 2 episodes left for this season! Season 2 (and 3) need to get in production like right now--who cares about the tour that I wasn't able to buy tickets for. They don't need that

Can't wait for more Glee!!!!

Hmm, I didn't seem Emma but Terri is definitely back. I need to rewatch the clip, again!

Wow, who would have thunk it. In an episode about theatricallity the much-hyped "Bad Romance" performence would be one of the least memorable moments of the night? And who would have ever thought that such a total B-actor would EVER turn out such a magneficent performence as one Mr. Mike O'Malley did tonight! He deserves a standing ovation and a half, as well as the Emmy for Best Guest Performence this Semptember. More on the scene of the night later.
Principal Figgins is quickly turning into comic gold. Believing in Vampire and being so believeable in his belief was hilarious. Of course I feel bad for Tina, but she got her revenge in the end. I laughed so much when she showed up as a Vampire a little pee came out.
The Shelby/Rachel scenes didn't sit right with me. I can't really explain it, but I felt so uncomfortable. Maybe that was the goal of the show, I can't really say for sure. And I know this is sac-religious to the hoard of Idina fans on this board, but I'm gonna say it. "Pokerface" was terrible. Whomever came up with that arrangement should be shot. And why did the producers think a song about getting someone into bed would be a good song for a mother/daughter duet? I found it kinda creepy.
Note to Quinn: I'd take him. That's all I have to say on that subject, except maybe that "Beth" was my unexpected favourite song of the night. Puck really is a vocal star.
The Gaga costumes were great, but "Bad Romance" fell a little short for me. I was dissapointed about how chopped up the song was. The TV show didn't do the studio version justice. And why can't they say "Bitch" in a song? They've said the word countless times in dialouge, but feel the need to censor it in the music... Strange.
So happy to have Matt and Mike finally get a few lines. But where the hell was Jessie? Boy can't be on Sping Break again!
Now back to the whole Finn/Kurt situation. I can totally see both sides of this issue. Finn being uncomfortable doing certain things around Kurt is understandable, but the way he acted towards Kurt was still wrong. The way Kurt acted wasn't the best either, but as a gay man who has falled for a straight guy before I relate with Kurt's feelings more. The point is there are so many other ways Finn could have handled his issues with Kurt that didn't involve use of "the other F word".
And as a gay man who was once I gay teenager I would have killed to have Burt as my father. The way he reacted was the way any truly loving parent should have. Kurt is one lucky 'mo and I think after tonight he realizes this.
Truly one of the best episodes so far.

I agree with Widdi 100% except...
I think the Poker Face arrangement was different, and at the least something interesting. But I will agree that as a mother and daughter duet... no. Still, "I Dreamed the Dream" from the last episode was incredible! Still gives me goosebumps...
I was also disappointed that Sue wasn't in this episode at all, and I have to wonder what's going on with Emma and Will, too. I also hated how, at the end, they made it so painfully clear that each episode is supposed to end with a moral, and that this episode moral was "be yourself". Hated that.
Otherwise, it was a great episode, if anything for the Kurt/Burt/Finn scenes which were outstanding.

I don't think a 16 year-old guy would act any differently if placed in this situation. I know that I would be super uncomfortable but I wouldn't be calling names or anything. If I was Finn I would've probably slept upstairs, which I think could've happened. I don't think Kurt was right either, though. He shouldn't have redecorated, that would've just made more tension between Finn and himself (which it did). Actually, I think the whole Hudson/Hummel union was a bad idea from the beginning. It would be just too uncomfortable.
