I have to admit despite those awesome promotional posters I'm still not completely sold on this movie. The first one just left such a... What's the word? Bland taste in my mouth, I can't really get excited over this one. Hope it's good though!

I just heard Jpop group Perfume will feature in this movie. I'm not sure if its true but I hope so.

I have avoided any Cars footage / advertising up until now because of my dislike for the first but I just saw the new trailer and it actually got me excited! Looks like this could be a fun James Bond -esque action comedy as opposed to a nostalgic, homespun homage to Route 66.

Okay, a thought just hit me. You know how you have Formula 1 Drivers who then become NASCAR drivers? How does it work in the car universe when, say, the car equivalent of Nelson Piques joins NASCAR?

Good news! Michael Giacchino's score for Cars 2 will be released on a CD instead of being just limited to mp3. I suspect Disney is only doing this because Cars 2 contains more than a score.

Yeah, five unnecessary pop songs. But if that is what it takes to get Giacchino's score on CD, then so be it. It would be nice if they finally released UP on CD, since that won a freaking Academy Award, but that will probably never be the case

I was thinking the same thing. I've got the original on my iTunes and it was probably my favorite music video way back when we first got MTV because of the cheesy-awesome visuals.
And call me weird, but I actually have a thing for 80's covers.
Hmm. I think I need to say "cheesy-awesome" more often.
