Thanks for your reply. I guess I don't feel so bad now. I usually buy my Disney dvds way before they go into the vault.

We've discussed this before, but I'll help you out since you're new!
Call the toll free number on the dvd and go through the menus to talk to a customer service representative. They'll be happy to send you a slipcover if you request it. Just make sure they don't confuse it with the insert or the packaging cover. Be very clear that you want the CARDBOARD thing with the opening flap.

Thanks for the news Paka. I haven't seen that thread either. My brother was kind enough to pre-order Simba's Pride for me from the Disney Store. My copy came with a slip-sleeve cover. I thought I saw some copies of The Lion King in the Disney Store and Best Buy that did not have slip covers either.

Hi purplebluelove99,
It's nice that Disney US is shipping the slip cover to you free of charge. :)

Has anyone thought about asking for a Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs cover? I know it did not initially come with one, but who knows? The guys at Disney might have cooked up serious Disney collectors who wanted uniformity, or just something special for those curious enough to ask. :D

The "Search" function is a lot more useful now that you can just search through topic titles.

These past threads may be useful to you as well:

And Deathie's Portal to the Universe of Slipcover Discussion:

This same question gets asked a lot.

What I've decided to do is to remove all of my movies that have slipcovers from them to maintain consistency in my collection (as I seem to have missed out on Monsters, Inc. (I guarentee I saw some in my area when they first came out with slipcovers), Finding Nemo, and Alice In Wonderland slipcovers).

Instead of discarding the slipcovers, I instead store them somewhere where they'll be seen, so that I get both the nifty presentation and consistency within my collection.

Mulan II does have a slipcover, in case you missed the review. As does Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas. Jake needs to update the list. :)

Regarding MULAN II...
Key wrote:And none of them are 2-disc DVD sets so I think the chances of them popping up on release date with slipcovers are... slim at best.
Well, that DVD does have a slip cover for sure! :D
but...I thought it's 2-Disc? Otherwise the ad on Circuit City is lying!

Well, I typed that post a month ago so I didn't know then that Mulan II would be released with a slipcover (I hate those pointless slipcovers that merely replicate the coverart; such a waste of paper!). ;)

And what's the Circuit Cuity ad like that it tricks you into believing it'll be a 2-discer? I haven't seen it yet. d:
