I would've said the same things. Actually, almost everyone on that forum says it.

I myself have on an old windows 3.1 a kinda journal of my experiences as a kid and I was a kid when I wrote them....so...if that computer still works....I want to get the thing i've called my life story off of their as a teaching tool for some people.....
wow! very interesting.
I apologise for deviating off topic and airing my dirty laundry, but...

It's very interesting you brought this up as I am also somebody who has been diagnosed in this particular grouping (I am yet to find a term that doesn't either make it sound like some sort of medical disability or a stupid fraternity).

Apart from a MAJOR meltdown earlier this year when I tried to change too much too quickly with a poor post-school career choice, I have come to enjoy what it has to offer and I have never, ever brought it up without somebody specifically addressing it first. My undying and encyclopedic love of Disney has given me great pleasure for many, many years and I hope it does so for many more to come. There is nothing I love more than tracking down rare CDs or DVDs or tramping out to reference libraries so I can find articles in architecture/design journals about the signage Design of the EuroDisney & Walt Disney World resorts by Sussman/Prejza.

I have learnt the hard way to not really give a crap about what people think of me - getting called a weird cynical asshole or my favorite... not like us = gay... are things I now wear as a badge of honor. The fact of the manner is if I want to take a solo trip half way around the world to visit the place I love (Disneyland) there is nothing wrong with that.

The only real thing I can honestly say it's prevented me from doing (apart from poor post-school career choice) is driving - I just get too stressed behind the wheel and freak out. Luckily, I have public transport or a friend who is always going to be driving somewhere to rely on.

Of course, my experience is my own and will not apply to others. There are times when yes, I do lapse back into dark moods and feel desperately lonely because I can't get people to understand who I am but I eventually realise the only way I am going to be happy is to enjoy what I have and I know that I will be able to achieve what I want in life ahead - WDAS is for the taking!

(Well, first of all the US INS is for the taking, but while I'm studying my Digital Media course at University I want to do WDW International Program then after I finish the WDAS Talent Development Program > ??? > Job!)

I want to work at Pixar.

Anyway, back on topic, they're expecting too much of this film, I think, and the public will probably take a different Christmas film over this one.

I don't know.... This movie is pretty incredible.

Not to drag us back off-topic, but its nice to share your feelings, especially with other Aspies. Let it all out, and let the healing begin. :float:

Yes, me too! I loved it. I am glad there is an IMAX screening not to far from me. It is a blessing! :)
I agree. I think it is a nice treat when movies are released in the IMAX screen. They extra couple of bucks for the ticket is totally worth it in my opinion.

The problem is, as amazing as Imax is, most movies that go to it go through some serious digital altering/shortcuts to make it look good on an Imax screen. Basically, the same "enhancements" that plague a lot of Home Entertainment releases.

ajmrowland -- I don't think they are "shortcuts" per say. It actually costs more money to produce a film on an IMAX screen, so they are really investing more money, time and talent to make the movie even more grand. I didn't think anything was lost having A Christmas Carol in an IMAX release.

Yeah, well I get the feeling animated movies and live-action films(shot on 35mm) are given different treatments, plus this one's 3D.

My parents went to see this last night, and I went with them for my second viewing. I was surprised to see more people at the theater this weekend than last weekend. The movie also held up well for a second viewing.

My informal and not-at-all representative sample of holdover seems to ring true according to Deadline Hollywood Daily's weekend box office write-up:
Disney's A Christmas Carol showed an excellent hold for No. 2, down just -23% from a week ago with $5.6 million Friday and $10.4M Saturday (+87%) from 3,653 plays for a $23M weekend.

Disney's A Christmas Carol Soundtrack

I loved Alan Silvestri's score for Disney's A Christmas Carol. The way he used traditional Christmas carols to tell the story in music was wonderful. I want to buy the soundtrack to add to my extensive Christmas music collection, but I can't find the whole thing anywhere.

All the online stores seem to only be selling the album as a download. I'm fine with that except that "God Bless Us Everyone," the main song is listed as being an Album Only track. This soundtrack appears to be like the Up soundtrack in that no actual CD exists but yet how can you get that song? Does anyone know where I can get the complete soundtrack? Help please!

This is a new song written by Silvestri and someone else and performed by Adrea Bodicelli.

"Album Only" simply means that you can't purchase the track on its own - you have to purchase the complete album to get it. If you click whatever link there is to buy the full album, you'll get the track.

If you want the song "God Bless Us Everyone" from the soundtrack, I would suggest buying the song from Andrea Bocelli's Christmas album "My Christmas". This is for Amazon MP3. I don't know if the other music sites are the same way.

Really? I always thought that meant you had to buy the physical album.

Unless I'm mistaken, there is no physical album of this. chicken is right, if you just select the "buy album" option, you'll get every track that's listed.

I think I would like to see this movie. Though it's the umpteenth adaptation of "A Chirstmas Carol" it's been some time since there has been one in the cinema ( I didn't see "Muppet Christmas Carol" in cinema at the time, and I don't really like that version anyway) but Christmas isn't complete without Scrooge (Says the Dickensian :P ), and I'm also curious for the 3D effect. Maybe It will take away my prejudice against motion capture that it looks 'dead'.

Oh, yes, do! It's absolutely exquisite. I thought it would be OK but not amazing.... but my jaw was on the floor for a good fraction of the runtime.
