Not quite. You'd need a 4 disc set (at least) to house all of her songs that have gone Top 40 on either pop or Christian charts (and make it 5 if you include Christmas songs). The Greatest Hits 1986-2004 CD and DVD were both commissioned by A&M records, which was Amy's label for pop/mainstream music at the time (she had a separate record label for Christian music distribution). Therefore, that CD and DVD focused only on her singles that were released to pop radio. It was dated 86-04 because (A) 1986 was the year of her previous Greatest Hits CD and (B) 1985 is the year that she first charted on pop radio. So that CD and DVD overlook all of her music prior to 1986 and the majority of her Christian music.

...That said... "Lead Me On", "Saved by Love", and "Simple Things" were all released to both Christian and Pop radio and charted in both genres. Those three songs are on the 1986-2005 CD and their music videos are on the separate DVD. Additionally, "Stay for Awhile" charted in both Christian and Pop and its music video is on the DVD (but the song is not on the 86-04 CD... however it is on this new CD).

I hope that makes sense. Let me know if it doesn't and I'll try to explain it more clearly. :)

yes and no lol. Basically I want a DVD with her Christian Videos on it. :)
And her songs as well. So I take it I would have to get this new CD? What DVD has more Christian Videos on it.
thanks! :)

Unfortunately there isn't one. While almost all of her pre-1986 music videos are available on VHS (now out of print), none of them are on DVD. Amy's management has said that a DVD containing the pre-86 videos (and hopefully the 86-07 ones that weren't included on that DVD) is likely for the future.

If you already have her 1986-2004 CD, and are looking for more Christian songs, I would recommend getting The Collection. That was her first Greatest Hits CD and it has many of her biggest hits from 1977 to 1986, all of which were played on Christian radio (and two of which were also played on pop radio).

If you have The Collection + Greatest Hits 1986-2004 (CD) + Greatest Videos 1986-2004 (DVD) .... then you will have everything that is on this new GH CD that just came out with the exception of one song ("Old Man's Rubble", which is at least a part of a medley on The Collection), a couple of remixes, a different version of the House of Love music video, and the new GH CD/DVD's bonus features.

So, in summary, I recommend that you get The Collection... but be sure you get the Digitally Remastered edition that just came out (the CD will be labeled as such on the front and back of the case). I've noticed that both Best Buy and Wal-Mart have a lot of copies of it available. Also, here is the Amazon link: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/ ... eimprovemz

I feel like I might just be confusing you even more. It might help to look at a website I made a while back, called A Guide to Amy Grant's Greatest Hits Albums: www.aaronspod.com/amygranthits.html

LOL yeah you kinda are but I think I get it some what lol.
I will check out the website though. :)
So I don't really need the new CD then correct?
Just that new song you were talking about?
Hopefully the new label will release a Christian DVD. :)

Well it's not a new song, but a newly remastered edition of an old CD. If yo have Greatest Hits | 1986-2004 (Album) + The Collection - Digitally Remastered (Album), you'll have a pretty good set.

From what I read Kevin Scott Richardson left the group last year.

Yup- Kevin left last year to focus on his Broadway career and his family.

I just downloaded 3 more Britney songs- "Piece of Me", 'Break the Ice", and "Radar". They've grown on me.

Ah, yes, I remember hearing that now. How is the album, Amy? Is it similar in sound to "Incomplete" (the song)? That's all I heard from their most recent album but I thought it was a good sound for them. Also, have you noticed the impact of Kevin's departure on their music?

The album is wonderful! It feels like "Never Gone", Part 2 (that was their last album). Most of the songs would feel right at home on their last album. A couple of the songs are more dancey, like what you'd find on "Millennium" from 1999.

As far as Kevin's impact, I miss hearing his voice- it almost feels like something's missing. But the song style hasn't changed or anything.

If you liked "Incomplete", then you'd probably like "Inconsolable", their newest single- they remind me of each other.
