Yeah, I did - well, at least at the one place I stopped on the way home. The Worst Buy near work only had volumes 3 and 4 of the series - which was fine for me, since I'm still broke from my london trip and was only going to pick up one this week.

My friend called and said she got all four signed she was SECOND In line BTW so i think she meet a coupleof you guys there She was also the one that gave ROY DISNEY the DVDS to hold for the picture that will be published in the magazine the photographer needed Roy Disney to hold the dvds so she offered mines WOW COOL stuff ...

Anyway i am just so happy to be getting them ...

Found all four volumes at Best Buy and got them for $24.99 each with double points!!!

Congrats on the autographed DVDs. Now I am just curious. Will the Autograph be on the outside packaging meaning if you take off the outside plastic wrap will the autograph be taken off to? Or when the DVD's were bought did your friend open them up and have them sign one of the inserts or could anyone else answer this question for me?

Because if he signed the Plastic Wrap then you probably wouldn't want to open them up and watch them

No she was going to let him sign the outer cover but some people on the line suggested since the cover will be handled alot so she got him to sign the inserts i will post pictures once i have them ...

Now I get two strange emails. The first tells me my Legacy set has been delayed.

Shortly afterwards, I get another email telling me they've shipped.

Go figure.

By any chance, can anyone post what the disc art looks like for any of the True Life Adventures dvds?

Glad to hear the 'zon came through for you. Judging from orders shipped vs. orders fulfilled on the TLAs, a majority of people have been waiting like you. Though it is possible some have grouped them together with the Treasures, I think the more likely thing is that their supply hasn't met the demand. I bet their interview with Roy has helped account for that.

Well after having stared at my Legacy DVDs for the past couple of days, but resisting the temptation to watch them until my work was done, I finally cracked. My work isn't done but I've watched White Wilderness and Water Birds anyway! And oh my God! I can't believe the restoration job that's been done on these! I mean in White Wilderness the scenes of the white snow and clear blue skies look absolutely stunning, I was literally amazed at how good these look, particularly compared Water Birds to the hideous transfer on the Rescuers DVD! They honestly look like the could've been filmed yesterday!

I like how the TLA films look amazing, but they still definitely look like they were shot in the 50s and 60s. Sometimes films are over-restored, but in this case it was perfect. It still retains the look that I associate with old nature films.

By the way, did anyone else notice that the Oswald set says "Volume 1" on it?

Yes I did notice. There are a lot of Oswald cartoons, about as many as Mickey as I remember. While the cartoons in between Walt and Lantz may be uninteresting, I certainly would not mind a volume or two of Lantz work as well.

Picked up my sets today at Best Buy for $24.99 each. My Costco is next door so I popped in to see the price they were offering (usually BB is cheaper the week of release, and then Costco is the price winner long-term), and was surprised to see they didn't have them out. They always have a good stock of treasures, so maybe they'll show up next week (perhaps a less-than-informed stock person thought they had to wait until the 12th along with the other tins).

Looking forward to diving into these!

Precisely what I was thinking, quite frankly The only Oswald's I would be interested in are the 26 Walt ones. They can do what they like with the rest!

We figured out earlier in this thread (Nov 24) that a majority of those 26 are lost. I'd be happy to see that proven wrong, though.

Why not - Disney owns them, Disney created them. Whats the difference between Frank and Ollie or Walter Lantz doing them?

Oh yes, I'm well aware that many are lost, but those 26 are the ones I'm interested in. Plus, you never know Disney may have had a copy of all 26 in its vault all along, but never piped up! At least i hope!
