I'm currently reading George Orwell's 1984 and Madeleine L'Engle's A Wrinkle in Time. I'm about half-way with each, but I have to finish 1984 for school because I have to write a 2-page paper reviewing a criticism and a powerpoint, which I have to finish by Monday 'cause that's when school starts back up. Golly, I hate my English teacher.

I'm currently on Part 3 of Orwell's 1984, I just finished Part Dos. Anywho, once I'm finished with this, and get my paper and other stuff finished, I'm probably going to finish Wrinkle, but then what? I'm going to see Wicked in six (I'm super excited) days, but I don't think I can find out where I stopped and then finish it before then. So, what else can you suggest. I have some odds and ends in my book collection that I have yet to read, but I don't know where to start. I, too, want to read His Dark Materials but don't have any of the books. So, I'm at a loss. Can someone suggest something?

I read a lot of books during Christmas but I think they were all French books.

The one I'm actually reading is «Le vide» (The Emptiness), a thriller. It's good!

I just finished Wonder Woman - Mythos by Carol Lay. Very fun read btw!

Currently I'm reading Star Trek: Titan - Taking Wing by Michael A. Matin and Andy Mangels for the second time and am enjoying much more this time through. This book is about Commander Riker and Deanna Troi's first assignment after leaving the Enterprise and after the movie Star Trek Nemesis.

Also, The Hand Behind the Mouse about the Disney animator Ub Iwerks.

and finally A Cast of Friends by Bill Hanna of Hanna Barbera fame. It's quite a fun autobiography. Doesn't go into a lot of detail and is more antedotal but still fun.

I'm trying to read The Hunchback of Notre Dame at the same time, but I always end up having to do something else.

Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH: Haven't read this book in ages. It's pretty good.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Another good book. I've finished it for the second time.

Well, I restarted Wicked and hopefully I'll finish it this time. I just started Part II: Gillikus (sp?) and I'll remeet Galinda for about the 3rd time. But anyway, after I finish Wicked, I think I'll reread The Spiderwick Chronicles or the Harry Potter series.
