Escapay should be given the title, "DVD Bargain Hunter" 8)

Hmm, 101 Dalmatians was okay. But it doesn't beat LK2 or Return to Neverland...or Lilo & Stitch 2. ;) But it DEFINITELY beats Tarzan 2 and Tarzan & Jane in my opinion. :p

Haha, funny experience! Maybe you shouldn't go to the mall anymore!

Mmkay, back on topic:

*It's only the ONLINE price. :) You can either do in-store pick-up like I did, or ship it to your house. Plus, the regular edition was the same price anyway (well, with price matches...) but still...$16.99 for the Collector's Edition is a steal! Yay! :D

Yesterday, I managed to find a copy of Season 3 of The Simpsons for £21.97 at Music Zone. I know that a copy at Sendit.com may have been a minor £5 cheaper, but since the packaging may not be as bashed as something coming in the male, I have no qualms.

I just ordered one of my FAVORITE movies as a child, the Cannon Movie Tale version of Hansel & Gretel, starring David Warner as the father (The Omen) and Cloris Leachman (The Birds) as the wicked Witch in the candy house. This film inspired me to write scary stories as a child, and contains some really frightening moments (I hope I'm remembering them accurately) like the incredibly creepy witch sneaking into the children's room while they sleep and outside the house there are rows of life-sized gingerbread cookies...that are filled with REAL children who survived being baked alive!

I didn't have this planned at all... but I was browsing the anime section and suddenly felt like buying a series. It's been a while since I got a new one.

So, after leaving the store to see if I would meake such an investment... I came back later and I just not bought a single one but a second one as well.

the one I wanted had only 13 episodes and I wanted a longer one. So when I was browsing the shelves I founf one that was long enough (24 episodes), the price was right, it was precisely the genre I was looking for AND the producers were the ones behind my favorie anime series.

So... I bought:

Descendants of Darkness and Rune Soldier.

Been a while since I've posted here. Let's see... in additon to the Halloweentowns, for my birthday, my friends got me (and really for themselves too :-P) One Tree Hill: The Complete Second Season, which I have been consuming in probably unhealthy fashion.

(Oh, and the 2 WDW Sing Along Songs and Hugo the Movie Star too).

Thank you. You did? I saw it in school and I pretty much remember it as being a very powerful film about what a person sacrifices for their passions.

What's in the Wes Craven collection? Universal's less desirables, basically:

I've got Swing Kids, but I haven't watched the whole thing yet (probably just the first half right now).

Added two "DH" titles yesterday:

Desperate Housewives, Season One
Doogie Howser, Season Two

DHS1 I got at Wal-Mart for $36.99, so that squashed my plan to get it at Target with the better bonus disc. Wal-Mart's bonus disc is a lousy promotional tool for ABC's new lineup. Target's was the "Sorting the Dirty Laundry" recap episode. Oh well. Maybe someone else can get the target one and burn it for me.

DHS2 was kind of a surprise blind buy for me. I'm already through Discs 1 and 2, and the series is better than I remember it. Of course, I'm still irked that I started with S2 instead of S1, but my Wal-Mart didn't have S1, and I'm hoping to find it somewhere for the same price I got S2 ($21.44 at Wal-Mart, but the SRP is $39.99 and I don't wanna pay $40 for the first season if I only payed $22 for the second)

Question though: with the big stink over The Cosby Show and Roseanne being the syndicated cuts, is Doogie Howser also the syndicated cuts as well? Most the episodes run about 22-23 minutes, even though back then they could go for about 25 minutes. I love how the show was a single-camera half hour...drama? Comedy? Is there a word for the genre? It was like The Wonder Years, minus the annoying voiceover, but was more lighthearted.
