Artwork for Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind and The Cat Returns found over at Amazon.
Both released 26th September, looks like they're finally starting a Studio Ghibli collection too.
I love the covers

, looks like actual work has gone into them.

Thanks guys, that Lilo & Stitch cover looks like the final one, compared to the thumbnail on play.com although the cover still doesnt make any sense....lol.
Also after viewing the Lilo & Stitch double pack in more detail anyone else think that maybe its a see through panel? As it looks kind of shiny and also it looks as if the see through panel where you can see the "Stitch Has A Glitch" dvd cover, or they have just used the same image.

Two questions -
1. Does anyone know if the Emperor's New Groove 'new' special edition is going to be released in the UK?
2. Not that I want to start a rumour or anything, but does anyone know if the Lilo & Stitch SE is limited in any way? I haven't seen very many of them out anywhere, there seem to be only a few around by comparison with the sequel which is everywhere...

Answering your first question, no The Emperor's New Groove Special Editon will not be released over here because the Ultimate Groove Edition is still in print in the UK, ans apart from a Kronk's New Groove Trailer, they are both identical.
No the Lilo and Stitch SE is not limited. If you don't see many around it's because the stores didn't want to get many copies in for one reason or another, don't forget the 1 disc is still inprint and lots of stores will still have that, whereas L+S 2 is a new film.

I was surprised that a Lilo & Stitch special edition hadn't been THAT well publicised but then I guess it's one of the first films to get a re-release that also got a DVD release when it was first released. Plus, not the best way to sell it to me with a list of extras and then "...plus all the extras from the original DVD release".

Which isn't true, as it doesn't feature the A*Teens' music video.
I think the reason we've not seen many copies of L&S SE is the same that Disney UK virtually ignored the Pocahontas SE release - the normal Disc is still in print/hasn't been long been out of print.
It's odd, because they threw their marketing muscle behind the new Dumbo and Alice releases, despite Dumbo virtually being a copy of the previous release (and in fact is
missing content from the previous release) and Alice is, of course, a single disc where as America got a 2 disc release.
BVHE UK - where logic doesn't exist.

I think if you recheck, you'll find it IS there!

Is the A*Teens video still that badly butchered version? I'm not sure if that's the only version that exists but if it is then someone needs to be shot.

According to the Disney UK site: (Thought I'd reproduce this because someone else in this thread had BATB down as 2009)
Lady and the Tramp - 'Available March 2006'
The Little Mermaid -'Available October 2006'
The Jungle Book - 'Available March 2007'
101 Dalmations - October 2007
Pinocchio - 'Available March 2008'
Snow White - October 2008
Peter Pan - March 2009
Sleeping Beauty - March 2010
The Lion King - 'Available 2010'
Fantasia and Fantasia 2000 - 'Available March 2011'
Beauty and the Beast - 'Available 2012'
and...
Make Mine Music - 'Unavailable' (what, forever?)
So how come they're going to release BATB after rereleasing The Lion King...?
Are the October 2009 and 2011 slots being taken by Aladdin and Bambi? Does anyone else find long moratoriums like these silly and annoying?

No, the 2009 date in the other thread is correct. That is the old line up, If you actually click on Beauty and the Beast you will see that BatB has been brought forward to 2009. This change happened a few months ago.

This is strange, the old Toy Story dvds that have been oop for quite some time have now re-appeared on play.com, take a look:
http://www.play.com/play247.asp?pa=sear ... age=search
Also were the new special editions always going to be released on the 28th November? I thought they were coming in a couple of weeks:
