Are there any slipcovers that differ from the DVD cover art underneath?

In France, there are a few that are like that. The Special Edition of Pocahontas aparently has a slipcover that is a feather with Pokey's face showing through a bit beneath a white background. Underneath, the actual DVD case is the same as the US 10th Anniversary EditionLightyear wrote:Are there any slipcovers that differ from the DVD cover art underneath?
Um, I don't like Pooh moviesNala wrote:Alan, what about the Pooh movies. They never come with slipcovers. Are you gonna avoid them because they don't have a slipcover even if you like them.
woah, woah, DK, don't get carried away!!Disneykid wrote:Geez, I wish Disney had never started this stupid slipcover phase to begin with...

Here is an ancient greek family tree showing how the ancient Greeks worshipped the Disney slipcovers as Gods, and showing the slipcovers relationships to one another.
What is the world coming to? Are you saying you need a fancy little piece of cardboard just to enjoy a movie? I've heard people make a big deal out of slipcovers, but not buying a perfectly good movie just because it doesn't have one? Why not just collect slipcovers instead of the movies if that's all that matters? That's it! Destroy all slipcovers! (except mineAlan wrote:Yup I only buy movies with slipcovers. The rest look ugly and the slipcovers are cool
Well, okay, so I should have said "naked cases."Isidour wrote:naked discs...
but they have that little box
You know what, you convinced me.. I too shall slipcover everything.. cardboard rules!Sunset Girl wrote:While we are in no position to decide what one's priorities would be, I gotta tell you that slipcovers just rule, man! And anyone who doesn't think so is messed up!
Not only do I freak out over and refuse to buy "naked" discs, I write a nasty letter to Buena Vista every time they release a DVD without one! I say they should provide at least two with every DVD, just in case one of them wears out! And I think every CD should be released with one, too!
I plan on making slipcovers for everything now. . . my books, my couch, my fridge, my bed. . . they're just so freakin' cool!
Trees are over-rated anyway, don't you think?
You Mrs. owe me one shiny dime!Sunset Girl wrote:Yes, yes, YES!!!! Because we all know it's what's on the outside that counts!
Dammit, I'm having trouble opening my fridge. . . can someone help me slide this thing off, the ceiling's in the way!
Grumble grumble. . .
At least it looks really cool. . .
Thank you dahling; I never knew how fabulous I could look, and no one even has to see the real me!Lightyear wrote:You Mrs. owe me one shiny dime!
But it looks good on you.
Well, the idea of a slipcover I think wouldn't be anyones property.. It's what you do with the slipcover that becomes a copyright infringement.Sunset Girl wrote:Just make sure you have a good lawyer, Disney is about to sue you over copyright infringement. Or trademark infringement. Or something.
Sunset Girl wrote:Well, as you can see, this conversation is getting us absolutely nowhere. We should talk about a *really* important subject.
Like, why doesn't Disney offer slip-cover emergency kits, just in case you scuff one up during the constant rearranging you do with your media shelves? (You know, I can never decide. . . should I arrange them alphabetically, chronologically, by genre, box office sales, number of home video units sold, my personal favorites, or just by the beauty of the slipcover? I should probably just go with the latter, eh?)
And why do my slip-covers always come with those stupid cases inside of them? They almost always have the same pictures on them anyway. And what's with those shiny discs I find inside those cases? Might make a good coaster or something, I don't know. . . anyone up for a friendly game of frisbee?
Oh, and one more thing. I was wondering: does anyone here look at R-rated slipcovers? I haven't seen any yet, but might see one in a couple years.
I did, nice to see at least one person recognised to it!chaychay102royal wrote:![]()
Did you really make that? It's really good!
I admire it too, but I thought it was your research and lineage skills should be commended, rather than your artistic skills. You mean you actually created that mythology all on your own?!ichabod wrote:I did, nice to see at least one person recognised to it!chaychay102royal wrote:![]()
