Alice's adventures were just a dream in the book, just like the film. The book is filled with symbolism, but it isn't drug use. The symbolism is stuff that friends of Carroll's would recognize such as in-jokes. As for the hookah-smoking caterpillar, hookahs were very common in households at that time and were basically tobacco pipes only with water containers attached to cool the smoke; no drug substances involved. Where do you get the notion that Alice was hallucinating? In her dream she saw bizarre things. So did Dorothy when she went to Oz. So did Wendy when she went to Neverland. So did Lucy when she went to Narnia. Are all of these girls on drugs? As for the size-changing, it's a fantasy. If you can accept talking animals, flying people, and magic spells, then I don't see how size-changing needs to be any different and associated with drug use. Saying Alice in Wonderland is about drugs is like saying Harry Potter is about Wicca. Both are ignorant statements.
I was hallucinating when I was writing that.

<<see my name>>
but Drugs is only part of it.i just like OVEREXAGGERATING........
You must not belive that every post is an answere to you
The post you are refering to are obviously a reply to goofy108's rather strange post about the book been writen under drug abuse. That is just another example of statements that are totaly untrue and only serves those that hate Disney. Don't write about any of these idiotic belives if you can't prove them.

My bad. I just thought I heard that somewhere. I don't hate Disney. I'm actually very much against those who believe Disney hides these "subliminal messages". Sorry for the mess-up.

Well, my post was to both Alice and Goofy.
Goofy: That's all right. I just get a little touchy on this subject considering how much the story means to me. Sorry if I came across as a snob. I'm better, now; I promise.
Alice: I have no doubt that you're hallucinating. If we were debating on whether member!Alice was on drugs instead of movie!Alice, then rest assured, I wouldn't have refuted them.

That website was really impressive. I didn't know about the topless woman in The Rescuers. I'm surprised that one hasn't been brought up as much as the things people think are in Aladdin and Lion King. The one about the seven Dwarfs being the seven stages of cocaine addiction was funny.

I mean, why would somebody would do something like it, and on a movie made for children?

Peter Pan - Boy in tights...think about it.
I can understand how one could say
Peter Pan is encouraging people to be gay, actually. If you take a look at this website, you will understand what I mean...

Whoa....Hey, now I remember, that guy was on Late Night with Conan O'Brian one time. He really freaked me out and I could tell by Conan's face he was thinking "Who
is this guy?"

That's because there really aren't any rules about what you can and cannot put on the web. So of course you get some crappy stuff!

Hey, he's a little eccentric (okay, very), but I'm sure he's a good guy. And clearly straight (not that there's anything wrong if he wasn't), as you can tell from his looking for Tinker Bell and ministry pages:

Let's stop with the hatin', bros!

Subliminal messages in Disney Movies?
Hmm, I think I can point out a few: (please note the sarcasm in what follows)
Snow White- if you're pretty, watch out for prettier people, and don't try and off them, otherwise you end up ugly and falling off a cliff.
Dumbo- you're a freak and you'll always be a freak until they find some use for you, such as perhaps using your ridiculously large ears to fly.
Fantasia- Drugs are the way go to, man.
Alice in Wonderland- It's like Fantasia, only you've got a couple characters taking the drugs with you.
Cinderella- Small feet can bring you happiness. That and a one-in-a-million chance that there really are fairy godmothers.
Lady and the Tramp- Feed your dog pasta.
Sleeping Beauty- Sing in the forest and you'll find your true love.
Little Mermaid- Change yourself to get a man you saw for only a couple minutes.
Aladdin- Good teenagers take off their clothes.
The Lion King- Eating bugs is cool.
Mulan- Cross-dressing is cool.
Tarzan- Running around in a loincloth will get you the girl...eventually.

Worked for me
And even if you were being sarcastic about the Little Mermaid one, after watching it, I did think it was kinda shallow of Ariel to give up everything she had and everyone she loved just to be with someone she had seen for five minutes, even if she was unhappy with her lifestyle at the time.

Hahah

Yeah. It also annoyed me that Aurora was so depressed over a prince she met for a moment. I wanted to chop her head off. But....it IS a fairy tale so it works.

Let me point out that this is a fairytale. Love at first site can happen here!
