I think they stagger the Volumes out every other year. So Chronological Donald 2 should be out in 2005.

Anyway, privately what I would want as Treasures would be

- the whole run of Zorro, including the four episodes that were part of the anthology series.

- Educational Disney, with all the I'm No Fool, You and Yours, Donald in Mathmagic Land, the People and Places shorts, etc.

- Texas John Slaughter, another LONG one, but would be cool to have.

- Classic Music Treasures, that way you can release the anthology eps on Beethoven, Mozart and Tchikofski(sp?)

Just a LOT of stuff that I want from the Mouse House!

A treasure with all the nature films Disney did would be a must buy. I used to like the ones where they told a story using real animal footage.

I just want all the cartoons out.... :)

I'm not a big Winnie the pooh nut, maybe when I have a kid, I'll get into it with them, but I think a treasure would be a great idea...

Keep bringing on the Donald, and I need more Silly Symphonies

and maybe a whole bunch of backround info and stuff on the most prestigiouse(sp) of Walt's animated features, stuff not already found on platinum, collector, and special editions....

I dunno about you but as a child of the 80's that's still one of my alltime favorites. I remember catching it on network tv..... ever since i've been a fan of scrooge.

Well, Tomarrowland is a compalation of Disneyland TV shows, there is an episode on the Sword and the Stone GC DVD if you have that... The TV shows don't really interest me, and if you're not too familiar and a big fan of those, I personally wouldn't recomend that, but Frontlines is a compalation of propaganda war cartoons, for the WWII era and even a feature length film called Victory through Air Power. I really don't know what to expect from it, but I am still getting it, I would recomend it.

I'm hoping Mickey's Christmas Carol is on the MMILC vol. 2 set, along with Mickey and the Beanstalk  .

i don't think Mickey and Beanstalk is going to be in any treasures since it's part of Fun and Fancy free, it's not an individual short.

Yeah, but Sorceror's Apprentice is from Fantasia and that will apparently be on the MMILC2 set.
I think it is a bonus feature though...

But wasn't it released as an individual featurette first? Just like the other post-war films' segments?

And I believe there is an alternate version floating around with a different narrator?

The film version is intercut with live action I think. Somewhere it is shown uncut (and with a different narrator I think). Was this done for TV?

The Big Cartoon Database (www.bcdb.com) doesn't list a Mickey and the Beanstalk entry (only in Fun and Fancy Free) so I guess it must have been made for TV (or those crappy butchered Fables sets the United States of PAL-Land seem to be getting).

Personally I doubt the set will include the Fun and Fancy Free and Fantasia segments (based on the How to Ride a Horse cartoon not being included in the Complete Goofy set). But I suspect one or two of the supplements will discuss Mickey's film appearances.

Nope Mickey and the Beanstalk was never released before Fun and Fancy Free - it´s made for that bread and butter movie!

Oh, I wasn't suggesting it was made before. Just thought there was another "uncut" (by live footage) version floating around somewhere... done for TV years later.
Maybe I imagined it.
Wouldn't be the first time. :D

Anyways, it is availale on 'Fun and Fancy Free' so no harm, no foul if not there...

I must say to everyone who wants the educational set - it will be pretty hard work to sit through all the I'm No Fool shorts. Still it will be nice to have them (and other educational shorts) in a set.

Personally I would like to see a release on International Disney. Disney make a lot of television shows aimed at just single countries - for example our UK Disneyland was dramatically different (and later) than the US Disneyland shows. It would be good to see examples of television series all over the world in a set. (I can only imagine what a Japanese Disney Disneyland type show would be like)

Actually, that would be kinda neat. It would fit in well with my wish to see Disney 'banned around the world' and seeing what censors have found offensive in various markets (even as a small clip-show, or a brief doco).

What is your source of info? I have seen the breakdown sheets for Wave 4 and they do not include a True Life Adventures set at this time. It has been discussed, but not for Treasures.

I had really hoped for a Treasure tin with the True Life Adventure Short Subjects :(
