 I often describe my Disney Channel viewing as being in a "zombie-like state," so you're at least partially right there. Being very rewatchable and able to pass time isn't a bad thing, though.

Nope, I'm judging it-- and I feel quite capable of doing so.
So you pre-judge everything without having any exposure to it at all. I really can't take your opinion seriously then, you're just hating it because of what it's perceived to be based on others hating it. If you actually sat down and watched the show with an open mind and not saying to yourself "this show sucks, i hate it", you might be mildly entertained.

I don't watch TV to have my mind "numbed". I watch to be entertained, to be invested in characters, to take the stories seriously (or not seriously). If I wanted to numb my mind, I'd be staring at paint dry or dust gathering in a corner.

Dylan and Cole Sprouse have recently signed with the Olsen's DualStar company. Like the First Twins, they will have DVDs, CDs, video games, a clothign line, etc., all marketed toward tween boys.

^ Hm...that's...interesting. I can't say that I think it's a good idea, though.

There are only 2 shows on the Disney Channel that I can stand watching. Those shows are That's So Raven and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. TSL can be really cliche sometimes, but otherwise I find it entertaining.

Well I'm not "pre-judging" it, I'm simply judging it. I've seen the show, unfortunately. My correctness doesn't require you to take me seriously. Also, I didn't suggest the aim was to have one's mind numed, I just think it happens, perhaps unconsciously on purpose.

But alas, this thread is about the Suite Life. I've noticed the more recent episodes are much more original, as to be expected. I think it'll evolve into a pretty healthy show. As Aaron said, Sprouse products are on the way. You can read about it here: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/9324141/ Sorry, I don't have the original WSJ article, but MSNBC will do, pardon the bias.

I'm not sure the same logic will work with tween boys as it did with girls, but we'll see.

My favourite Disney Channel shows (not including animation) are 'Even Stevens' and 'Phil of the Future'. I know 'Evan Stevens' is done but that show has some interesting characters and whenever my friend and I are watching that on TV I'm rarely bored. Phil is interesting too but I haven't seen it so much. When anything else comes on I cringe. (I really cringe when Brotherly Love comes on but that's not a Disney Channel show but it's on Family Chanel which shows DC shows).

The Suite Life Of Zach and Cody Is Okay

They make it look really bad in the previews but it turns out to be entertaining.

Its not my favorite show but I enjoy it

Haha, yeah, you're right. I wonder why that is.

Disney shows almost never appeal to me when the previews first come out. I think Naturally Sadie looks horrible, but I said the same thing about the Suite Life, so I'm wondering if one day I'll end up watching it and liking it too.

This show is mindless fun... absolute garbage if you watch it for a thrilling plot, or even scenes that make complete sense (they obviously have zero budget for special effects), but it is a fun show to watch. I legitimately laugh at many of the jokes.

Is there any way to find out their budget, or the budget of any Disney show? I know how to find it for movies, but not so sure about TV series...
