How is it compared to the original?

Anyway, I just got the Spiderman 1+2 Box Set. I also ordered the X-Men SEs Box Set.
I'm considering getting the R1 version of Alice in Wonderland. Can anyone recommend it, and/or maybe compare it to another Disney release on the same level of features?
Well, take a look at the review on this site, however if you want a quick opinion from someone who has it here you go. GET IT! It's a great release. The movie never looked/sounded better, the extras are pretty good (almost Platinum-worthy (The inclusion of the missing deleted scenes would have made it Platinum-worthy)) with the exception of the game, which is very stupid (but what else is new :P ). The movie itself is one of Disney's best, although many don't like it for some odd reason.

However, I would wholeheartedly recommend you get this release

Glad to be of assistance.

Anyways, getting back to the thread:

I will be purchasing Pocahontas on tuesday, however, I will be cutting back a bit on DVD purchases as I recently had to buy the Pioneer VSX-D814-S Digital A/V Receiver to replace my dieing Panasonic one. It looks like a great reciever, and it was a pretty good price too. Hopefully it'll be as good as my Pioneer DVD/DVD-A/SACD player

Ahh, denial. No shame, man. ;)
Hardly a denial, as she wanted it, and I found it for $10 and she still hasn't paid me back, but she comes down to Florida in two weeks anyway, so she'll pay me back then.

Yesterday, I found Notting Hill: Ultimate Edition and Meet Joe Black: Ultimate Edition, both for $10. I was also gonna get Sister Act and A Walk In The Clouds ($7.50 each), but decided against it for some stupid reason, though I guess I'm still holding out for an SE of Sister Act.

Well, I just added Looney Tunes: The Golden Collection Volume 2 to my collection. I got it at Blockbuster Video (new) for $28.99 (Mind you, that was after a $40 credit because I traded in several dvds (all of which were early versions of dvds that I've since upgraded). I wish they would speed up the release of these things, they have a tonne more to go, and one a year isn't going to cut it

Tommorow (May 2) I will be buying Pocahontas: 10th Anniversary Edition and my mother is buying my Phantom of the Opera: Deluxe Widescreen Edition

I just ordered The Shawshank Redemption (one of my favorite all time movies) from Columbia House today.

Still waiting on Back to the Future Trilogy and Platoon to come in the mail.

Just got my Dinosaur CE dvd in the mail today, i thought it was a very enjoyable movie.

I also joined Columbia House TV-DVD club today and ordered Freaks and Geeks: Complete Series (even thought there was only one season) and Aqua Teen Hunger Force: Season 1.

Thanks dude, I like to think that my taste in films is good :)

Apparently you have good taste as well.

Anyways, is the Shawshank that you have the 10th anniversary edition? I had to pick this one up, because I always find myself watching it whenever it comes on television. I must have seen it like 20 times on t.v. by now.

I think so, I don't have it on me but it's been out for a while so it probably is. Yeah they do show it a lot on TV but I like to watch it without being edited. Same thing with Platoon and Back to the Future.

Yeah, but think of it this way. For $20 you can get 2 whole seasons of a series.

By the way, if you don't find TMNT Season 1 in Wal Mart (I don't think they have it), go check in Suncoast. They sure have it for the same price and wuth the slipcover.
