I'm also Catholic but I wouldn't want to take this class either. It may soun interesting but really it's not worh it. Since these are controversial themes they just mention them, they don't actually go deep into them.

And also the tests are hard as he....

Like one question of True or False:

Is it Genesis 2 that talks about the sexual aspect of humans?

And altough the concept it's true you have to figure out if it was actually that chapter or capter 1 for example.

Actually, I had to drop out because I was failing it. But its not a big deal cuz I'm taking it again over the summer. You're gonna like what I have to take fall semester. Physics and Calculus II + another computer programming class. WOOHOO!!! That's gonna be fun.

It's okay...I've lost many hours of sleep just to pass Calculus!
Try taking Physics, Organic Chem, Calculus, and Biology in one semester (and those aren't even INTRO TO!)

I see that someone is taking Calculus I. I tried Pre-calculus in my first semester of college, and I could NOT do it. So I withdrew from it.

This semester:

Art Appreciation : what a waste of class. Just because every answer has to be the prof. one

Communications Investigation: interisting class, but the Prof. goes too fast.

History of Puerto Rico: the Prof. is very nice and class looks promising, if he didn't hold the class talking about everything else but it.


Intro. to Radio and Telecommunication: Very interesting class. Another Prof. that goes fast with it, but at least the class is not that har to follow.

I hated Pre-Calc. I was always good at math, but I avoided Pre-Calc until senior year.

A new semester is upon us, and another semester of boring classes.

Native American History to 1815 (kinda interesting)
Geology (with lab) - identifying minerals - wow.....learning about Volcanoes and earthquakes looks to be the fun part, but that's close to the end of the semester.
Spanish 201 (I got a B in 102 and am now sooo lost)
Math 112, Algebra 2.

Lots of papers to do for history, 3 research papers plus a group research project, plus 4 response papers.

Does anyone know what language is the easiest to learn for a native speaker? Common sense would tell you it would be a Germanic language (the same family as English) and I have indeed heard that it is the easiest of the modern languages taught at universities. However, I really don't see the purpose of learning German unless I was going into German studies or going to live in Germany or something. Now Spanish, that's important to learn, because it's basically America's unofficial second language. Where I'm from, you basically are guarantted a job if you know Spanish over someone who doesn't. Not to mention the pay is better. However, it's so hard. I think Romance languages are so complicated. The dichotemies between Romance and Germanic languages are completely disparate. My minor is Asian American studies. Chinese is WAY too hard. Anybody got any suggestion?

My semester is not really hard as it is more time demanding lots osf studying and fun stuff like that.

Well, Prince Eric, not just because my main language is Spanish. But given the facts that you already mentioned, and others I did (being able to understand Portuguese, Italian, some French....); I'd say go for this one.

Prince Eric- most of what isn't German in English is French, courtesy of William the Conqueror and that whole deal. There are a great many cognates and many of the same basic ideas and rules apply. Granted, more is different than is the same, but I think French lends itself to easier comprehension by native English speakers. But from what I know of Spanish and Portuguese... and about German... the same can be said for them to at least some extent. At any rate, I've been taken French for three years now (going on four), and haven't struggled with it too much (in fact I just had my first one-on-one conversation with a native French speaker while in the Caribbean ), but then, foreign language comes easier to me than something like science or math does. Plus French totally rocks!

Yay, a dug up thread but it's useful:

I'm taking it easy this semester...therefore very easy classes! I was going to take classes that were for my major, but I have GE's to finish so I might as well get rid of them.


= Asian-American History
= Intro to Spanish <-- when you live & work in Southern California, I think Spanish is necessary to learn!
= Computer Programming using C++

But it still made 12 units, so I'm considered full time with Fridays off.

Ryan's is similar to mine:

Do to the fact of some late entries and other problems.

I don't start college until October.

But the courses I am taking are:

and a Drama Course

So this will be a pretty busy year for me.
